For the past week been porting the FRLG tileset to Emerald. There's nothing more to it. Mostly been doing it for practice with how tilesets work and the decomps. Its actually been really rewarding. Still a WIP but almost done. Just need to finish porting the tree and green tiles and then the sea and ocean tiles and it will be finished.
I had an idea to do soaring in gen 2 by making an overworld map that uses the town map's tileset at 2-4x scale, and replaces the player's sprite with a bird. The only thing I'm not sure of is how to handle the warps.
