People say the mod auto ban thing killed showderp but it was already limping along even before both our legs were shot by the autoban script.Nowadays Showderp threads read like an s4s thread with the same 3 or 4 people just spamming non sequiturs for months keeping the thread on life support. If Champ is claimed, maybe 2 people join battles, and again, spam phrases and thoughts not relevant to the battle. or they'll just circlejerk for a moment and then go inactive. and then the next champ appears a week later and the whole process repeats in a festering cycle.It's lame now, basically. It WAS fun at one point. It always had potential to be fun, but the auto mod chat really killed it all. It was serious fucking fun back when it had like 20 people joining per battle, modchat wars were a thing, USA spam, ctrl+w ruses, embarrassing mods, and, of course, the powercreep wasn't so bad. It's done now, but it was fun and nice at one point. It wasn't nearly as malicious as mods deemed it to be. Gen 5 - 7 was it's funnest, I think.
