we can talk about buffing and nerfing types as much as we want, but how do we make ghost and dark less similar?

How are they similar? One is physical in the old games, the other is special, one is weak to Fighting, the other is immune to it. Psychic's weak to both, that's about it.

Making more powerful Ghost moves and giving them some wider distribution to other types would be a good start.
