this is the first time I've realized that vulpix and growlithe are effectively the first "regional forms" in pokemon in that they don't have an evolution in johto, the only other times that similar has happened is a regional form getting a that-region-exclusive evo.It's a weird case but very odd. Never thought of it before. Judging by the list it also goes for exeggcute, weepinbell, whatever else. Am I crazy?

And it's pretty easy to manipulate phone calls by just removing every unnecessary number from Pokegear.Similar mechanic exists only in HGSS but it's time-gated to evenings of specific week days so it's kinda gay. Happily there's Pokeathlon.Evolution Stones are pain to obtain really only in Gold and Silver - the idea was to force players to use Mystery Gift more often but nowadays most people don't even play old Pokemon games on original consoles and even if then finding someone else to use Mystery Gift feature is improbable and the entire system can be used really only like 3 times a day and evolution stones are quite rare drops so lol.
