would you buy winds and waves if they were game key cards?
>>
>>59357722
yes because i've been full digital for years now
none of the games i play are complete on the cartridge anyways so there's no point in physical to me
>>
They're not going to be though, silly third worlder. GKC's are an option because third party publishers are cheap niggers (that's why any "physical" game these days is a downloader for the ACTUAL game stored on an internet server somewhere). Nintendo as publisher don't give a fuck about the "increased" costs, because they sell millions of copies beyond the total cost of the produced carts of Pokémon, so after a point, it's irrelevant But there's no "must-buy" third party wank out there, thus no desire for third parties to actually give a fuck about their potential audience on Switch.

Fuck no. Physical media must always be an option.

Golem

The only reason they won't be is because Nintendo knows players hate them. TPC absolutely would cut the corners if they were allowed to.
>>
I would reluctantly buy it digital if that was the case. I vastly prefer physical, but a GKC is just a digital purchase that requires a physical cart to work, so it's not saving space on my console nor providing the convenience of not needing to switch carts. The worst of both worlds.
>>
>>59357796
The convenience is that you can sell the keycard if you think you're done with the game after a certain point. So you can make money back to buy more games later.
But that's it.
>>
>>59357811
I should've specified that I don't sell my games ever, so that aspect loses its appeal with me. And if I ever want to lend a game to a friend (lmao what friends?) I can use the Virtual Game Card system.
>>
>>59357722
I’ve been all digital for almost a decade.
>>
>>59357722
not gonna lie, it'd actually make me wanna buy it more. leaks wouldn't be as prevalent c:

I haven't bought a physical game in almost 10 years.
>>
>>59357744
No they're an option because the majority of game sales are digital and key cards help push the ten percent of people that haven't gone full digital towards digital sales.
>>
Mainline Pokemon is something you play for a bit a day while watching TV to shiny hunt, can't bother with any cards for that.
>>
>>59357722
>implying they won't be
>>
>>59357729
then why not just fucking buy digital you mouth breather?
>>
>>59357722
Probably not. It sounds like something modern cheap ass “min-max profits, line must go up” Nintendo would do, but making gen 10 GKC would actually hurt sales- knowing GameFreak’s incompetence, the game’s file size would be like 30-40 gb if not more. That alone would limit the options of anyone lacking a microSD card or in storage space and could potentially put them off from buying the game.
>>
>>59357722
I'm not buying anything that can be emulated in just one year from now.

Then Winds/Waves is perfect for you.
