Ebin movielong battle between two legendaries. Pretty satisfying just for that. 3) CeleBEEEEEEEEEEEEEE because Celebi a fucking cute and when it died I cried.

>>59359155Pokemon 3 because the scenery is gorgeous, the plot with Molly and the unown is pretty interesting and it's probably the only Pokemon movie where a lot of the character's pokemon get to do stuff. A lot of the movies are just the Charizard and Pikachu show. And movie 3 has this two but we get a battle with brock, a battle with misty. Ash using his pokemon to scale the tower and break in. We get that awesome 6v6 battle at the start that uses the playground a lot in the battle dynamics. (Also it's how kid me learned rapid spin escaped whirlpool which isn't all that important but I thought it was cool at the time)

They're completely unapproachable for anyone who isn't already invested in the franchise to some degree and even then they're never more than just an extended episode of the anime with a higher animation budget and a focus on a particular set of legendaries/mythicals. That being said, I'm a massive Gen 3 fan, and that carries over to my opinion of the movies as well. I've always loved Heroes, Jirachi Wish Maker and Destiny Deoxys, largely because of the aesthetics and imagery that were at the forefront of the series at the time. The locales in those movies are top notch. LaRousse and Alto Mare genuinely make me hate living in reality for the fact that I can't live there, and the fake Groudon in Jirachi Wishmaker makes for a fantastic setpiece. Honestly though, I need to watch all the pokemon movies. I still haven't seen 2000, the Ranger movie that bridges Gen 3 and 4, Jewel of Life, the split version victini movie and most of Swords of Justice. Honestly not super well versed in the movies now that I think of it considering the most recent one I've seen was maybe like the last 20 mins of Swords of Justice when I caught it on CN years ago. I'll have to at least watch em all through Gen 5.

I've seen First Movie, Movie 3, 4Ever, Heroes, Jirachi Wish Maker, Destiny Deoxys, Lucario & The Mystery of Mew, Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and Zoroark Master of Illusions in full and part of Swords of Justice. I definitely need to finish watching all of them but 10 movies is definitely enough to get the idea.
