Palworld and Pokèmon can co-exist in peace
>>59363825Not according to Nintendo and their desire for an monopoly on gameplay mechanics.
>>59363826It's not about that, everyone knows just by looking that they use AI to copy Pokemon. Nintendo knows for certain for reasons I can't divulge but this is one of the primary reasons they are going after them. This is usually the case as there are thousands of patents for gameplay mechanics across tons of companies but they are usually always wielded as shields and not swords much like the laws we have in this world. Expect something funny to probably happen this year that will damage pal worlds reputation but ultimately not destroy it sadly.
>>59363825There should be more Palworld×Pokemon art, it would be really effective in taking money and attention away from Pokemon and to Palword instead. Friendly competition is what we need for a brighter future for this bleak franchise.

>>59363910A bootleg will never be viable competition.
>>59363847>they use AI to copy PokemonOk and? They're far from the only one.
>>59363825they can but for some reason most tendies are literal cultists and have to immediately devolve every single discussion into their tribalistic consolewarfaggingthe janny on /v/ is literally known for autosaging and deleting threads of any game that may potentially take away the spotlight from nintendo games, and also lets the rabid tendies shit up the entire catalog with their faggotryi love pokemon, but i'm also excited for other monster tamer games that i think will be way better than pokemonroco kingdom and dokev look incredibly promising
>>59363929No, bad touch.
>>59363825
>transcat faggot now wants to leech on Palworld to spam another threadhow many transcat threads we have now? 20?seriously what ticked this loser off? why is he sperging out so much lately?

>>59363847>everyone knows just by looking that they use AI to copy Pokemon>Shit made up in the mind of schizos who can't even back up with sources aren't artist paranoid of their own anyways that they'll accuse anyone and everything of ai, genuinely why should i take this copypasta serious?
>>59363998Holy based mod
>>59366179Faggot
I wonder why palworld made them so butthurt but didn't care about yokai watch, digimon, or dragon quest
>>59366425Because pp made by disgrunted ex-gf who got firedSource: my dream
>>59366425>Yokai WatchThey gave them a small scare, but YW kill itself by trying to follow the hype train rather than letting their games sit with the populace, find their niche, and then releasing a new game with more preparation. At least some went to work under GF, but maybe that isn't really good.>DigimonThis is more of a Bandai thing ruining his fucking IP. I get it: monster RAISING game (Vpets are basically that: tamagotchis where you raise a cool monster) is not monster taming, but maybe they could've added that aspect in the long run (I have found World DS to be a good middle, because while you have a team where you go on adventures, you also have your reserves walking around and having adventures in your "digi-farm", increasing thwir own stats while you are away). At least anime is better, but is not great when you are selling games.>Dragon QuestCompletely different games. Pokémon is a monster taming game with light RPG elements, Dragon Quest was always a JRPG where your team composition can make all the difference to defeat hardcore enemies. Charizard has nothing against the cruel and dangerous Green Dragon.
>>59366448>some went to work under GFYeah, BEFORE Yo-kai Watch died. It didn't kill itself, it was killed by TPC for being a threat to the Pokémon brand.>Bandai ruining [its] fucking IPIt's very obvious at this point that foul play is involved. Everything else is managed well, it's only Digimon where there are CONSTANT very baffling fuck-ups and seemingly always from the executive side. In particular, they seem to always be looking for the worst people for the job; the more interest you show for Digimon, the less likely you are to get hired for it. And the Vital Bracelet was very obviously killed for doing way better than expected. Same goes for the color digivices with anime clips.
>>59366463>It was killed by TPC for being a threat to the Pokémon brandThat's interesting, I didn't knew that. That also makes me wonder why they didn't do that with Palworld, but I guess directive was different since their games were weak copies of other more successful games. Then again, Gen 7's directive was probably different to Gen 9's, so back then it was "pay them and take them", and now is "own it and ruin it for everyone else."
>>59366214Would both
>>59366641Because it's a fanfic'TPC never killed Yokai Watch. They were very successful, then eventually lost steam and no longer appealed to fans.
>>59366669>eventually lost steam and no longer appealed to fansAnd losing the core devs had nothing to do with that, of course. Pure coincidence. Totally.
>>593648741 out of 200 threads contains meowscarada, you sad raped animal
>>59366425Pokemon is a multimedia franchise first and video games, not even second, but basically like fifth. Over 5/6 of Pokemon's earnings are from just toys and merchandise, then the movies, anime, card game, and at the very bottom video game sales. The thing is the production costs are inverted. They must spend a tremendous amount of money making the video games to produce the parts of the IP that actually make the money. Palworld was being ignored by Nintendo because initially it was just a video game. A high selling game is still peanuts compared to even a few plushie sales. It wasn't until they partnered with Sony's entertainment to attempt to go multimedia that Palworld got hit with lawsuits, because that was Nintendo realizing their actual bottom line could be threatened, so they pulled out the nukes. Not copyright infringement, something nebulous and hard to prove, but PATENT infringement, something clear cut and definable. That is how much Nintendo cares about anyone who steps on their big toes.As for why they never went after Yokai Watch or the other IPs this way, one, they were either too small, or couldn't find a good hook in to open a suit. The nature of Palworld being a parody of Pokemon meant Nintendo had an open door, versus something like Yokai watch that was a more unique concept.
