>>59364922Unless it has a flat out detrimental ability, yes. Base 151 speed + a decent attack and special attack means it will a place. Right now the most common items on Chomp are berries or 20% boost items. You could run the mega stone and not use it and it'd be fine, while still giving you the flexibility to mega if you need the speed boost. In a weird way Champions fixed the "holding a mega stone and not using it is a huge opportunity cost" by removing all the good items from the game.
