The worst part is that so many XY and ORAS Megas got good abilities for the most part.
Even if they weren’t great, the Mega itself either had high stats like Garchomp and Mewtwo, or had some vision like Mega Slowbro using Calm Mind set you couldn’t crit past or No Guard Hurricanes from Mega Pidgeot. Only Mega that didn’t even try was Mega Audino having both shitty stats and shitty ability that had no real purpose.
So many of the new Megas are laughly dogshit on par with Mega Audino, who previously was the outlier. Some of the ZA Megas did end up with good abilities like Scovillain and Pyroar (both big surprise), but so many of them get absolute nothing burger abilities without the stats to justify it.
And credit where is due, Mega Victreebel at least “has a vision” with Innards Out, but otherwise so many of the ZA Megas are on par with Mega Audino.

The irony is that Mega Meganium counters every weather EXCEPT sun, which happens to be King Zard’s favorite weather. Meganium is the blatant shillmon of the ZA trio but you are not allowed to overshadow the Big C.
