And any of the truly new Megas like Meowstic and Scolipede, they just shat the bed on purpose so fans would stop asking.My only other explanation is that GameFreak saw the backlash with Gen 9 Powercreep and shit like Flutter Mane dominating the meta, so they went in the opposite direction with the new megas and made most of them dogshit competitively and only a few being good.

Ohmori in the teraleak blatantly admitted that he couldn't be arsed to designed the gym leader system and just halfassed it with no thought put into it, he is the reason why XY was a mess and as to why Megas weren't as flashed out as they should've been. And to make things even worse, Ohmori saw all the things that were liked about Megas, as a problem he wanted to get rid of. Z-Moves and Dynamax were his shitty attempts at replacing Megas, hell he even admits in the same leaked paper that was found in the teraleak that Z-Moves were a complete failure at replacing Megas, and Megas were even considered as far as the early versions of SWSH, as is obvious by the images found from the early versions having Mega Fug in it.Ohmori fucked everything it, and in true Japanese fashion, he tries to pretend his fuckups never happened, but Megas were popular, really popular, which no doubt pisses him off to no end and as to why ZA had a such a pathetic budget allowed for it.
