>Trapinch bug ground>Vibrava bug flying>Flygon bug dragonNot only would it visually make sense, it would also be cool and tell a little story about a bug turning into a dragon. Also solves Vibrava and Flygon not looking like ground types at all.
It's stupid that they aren't part Bug, Goodra should've been Dragon/Bug type also>b-but snails/slugs aren't bugsThe term "bug" is used to refer to creepy-crawlies not just insects, plus Shelmet and Accelgor are Bug type Pokemon
I'm convinced that this was the original intention but some higher-up at gamefreak HATES bug type and will thwart it at every turn.
>>59372406>Flygon should have been objectively worse
>>59372449100% unironically yes. Visual design matching typing and flavor is more important than gameplay power.
>>59372406Maybe they will make a Flygon regional form someday which is bug-type?
>>59372406I'll give it credit that it's at least an honorary bug by being in the quite exclusive bug egg group. Dragon and Bug are my two favorite types. I have been waiting. I do like your idea though that it would change secondary types each stage.
>>59372406whats whith this mon and the amount of autism surrounding it.
>>59372479It's all caused by its just visually being wrong. If the typing just made sense with the visuals there wouldn't have been so much discussion. This is just like the autism around butterfree and venonat but more pronounced because people actually like this pokémon.
>>59372472>FlavorFlygon makes more sense being Ground than Bug type. What the fuck are you on about?
>>59372534>Some bullshit the cobbled up last second to justify retarded typing choice
>>59372419>Goodra should've been Dragon/Bug type No
Bug/Dragon with sand rush
>>59372406Meh, I'd rather have Yanmega be a Bug/Dragon type. Flygon's Ground type makes sense because it's supposed to be immune to Sandstorm. As for Yanmega, other than the english name pun, it also resembles a dinosaur because of the black plates on its back, so the Dragon types also fits in that regard.
>>59372868thisbarney is not a bug type and it will never be thank god.
>>59373694Could easily just have been an ability.
>>59373694It's weird looking because its a pun on oni (japanese ogre) that comes from dragonfly species name
