>>59380578If you don’t care about emulation features or linking GBA games, a modded 3DS would work best. Twilight Menu will load the DS games, and Virtual Console injection or mGBA handles the GBA games. You even get PKSM for hacking your save or transferring mons between saves.

Only downside is a 3ds just feels bad to use as an adult, and the 3ds xl's have been long since bought out by investor bros on the tick tocks.So the best way to go about it all is still probably pc emulation with a comfortable controller.
>>59380578In my opinion DS lite/DSi is comfiest (crisp display and long battery life) but it will not play gen 6I got an R4 for the DS games I was missing (the ROMs are all on archive.org) plus a fake emerald cartridge off aliexpress for 5 bucks, very straightforwardI ended up buying a new3DS too but they're kind of expensive, in my opinion you should not skip XY it has the last good pokedex and sure it's a pity they skipped the scam third version but it's a nice game in its own right, the criticism is unfair
