Masuda was right about our attention spans
>>59381360I still hate him thoughies.
Not really, BW sucked
>>59381360>those teethrotted away on the inside thanks to cigarettes and alcohol. Why is being japanese such a mental handicap?
>>59381360Yours, maybe.I don't use titktok, instagram, don't watch reels or shorts. My attention span is the same as ever.
>>59381360why does that cat breed always look pissed? cute cat btw
>>59381390prove it?
>>59381360>Systematically dumb it down over the yearsYou allowed it to happen.
>>59381390>I don't use titktok, instagram, don't watch reels or shorts.you just gave me the ´ick
>>59381390>spends every five minutes refreshing the catalog
>>59381526>'
>>59381360>ourYou mean you zoomie fucks who grew up on tablets and phones. These games now cater to your melted minds and there is nothing anyone can do until AI just lets everyone go on their own individual Pokemon adventures.
>>59381360It's hard to pay attention to a Pokemon game when it's literally slower than 90s JRPGs and that's an insult to 90s JRPGs.
>hm, we have a lot of competition with mobile games. kids don't dedicate a lot of time to a single game like they used to, huh?>well, should we add more content and polish to our game and give them a reason to keep playing, then?>nah just cut it what's the point of trying lmaohow the fuck are these retards spearheading the highest grossing media franchise on the planet
>>59381844Tinfoil: A deal with the devil done somewhere down the road. Not figurative. Literal.
>>59381888Those fundies from 2000? Not far off.
>>59381391It's the angle the photo's taken at. I have a couple pics of my two tabbies that look as if they're plotting imminent murder, because they had their heads down but looked up without moving their heads when they saw me move in with the phone.
>>59381613>thinks AI will be able to replace human hands in video game creationI almost wish they'd palm off vidya to AI tomorrow, just so you can see how wrong you'd be.
>>59381844marketing is all that matters baby send out more pikachu plushies
>>59381844>millions fo children were given smartphones to play with as a replacement babysitter from smartphones became a thing>nuuuu, if we justest thorw SHITLOADS of content aimed at humans 10+ years older than our actual market, that'll SURELY increase childrens' attention spans"Amazing how all /vp/'s suggestions to "fix" child development doesn't actually fix child development. You want to "increase kids' attention spans" in the smartphone era ban smartphones outright, with the death penalty for any cunt caught buggering around with one. Because, and I seen this with my own cousin's two kids - as soon as they were able to hold the fucking phone, they were playing with their mam's and aunts' phones. CONSTANTLY. And the oldest was born in 2010, so just 3 years younger than smartphones for consumers. You've lost. Sorry Pokémon proved it didn't need you, but it didn't need you from the day you met your second generation of pokémon games. You were just too young and dumb to understand.
>>59381844because the games aren’t the moneymakers you mong
>>59381391It's not pissed
>>59382104The merch is?
>>59382104>>59383113would the merch even sell without the games?
>>59383264Most likely, yes
>>59383303The games familiarise the kids with the new creations, to then go buy the merch, you stupid fucker. Without the games, this shit doesn't go especially not since limited TV options enforced half the world's kids being able to watch the 22 minute long toy advert regularly died and everything got scattered across a billion different channels, subscription services and streaming. As well as introduce NEW shit for them to then make filthy fortunes off on top of the old staple favourites (something you dumb cunts seem to ignore, stopping adding shit to the total won't suddenly make Arbok sell more plushies).
>>59383325It would still sell, just not as much
>>59383403And hence you sound like a fucking retard. YoKai Watch did that, in case you forgot. Died on its arse as a result.
>>59383420NTA but Pokemon is a longer-established brand with a colossal fanbase. Pokemon stuff would still sell even if GF was dissolved tomorrow.
>>59383264I seriously doubt Eevee merch would stop selling gangbusters if Eevee wasn’t in the next games. God knows Rowlet and Piplup merch sell regardless.
>>59383885>different retard>same retarded opinionAnd Meowscarada's currently selling a FUCKLOAD of merch on top of ALL the Eevee shit, Pikachu shit, Charizard shit, Lucario shit etc etc. currently selling the fuck out alongside it too. Understand yet? Adding new shit means adding MORE profit to the take from the old standards, but stopping adding shit won't suddenly make Harriyama fucking popular in merch sales as a result.
>>59383264Wait, do you mean like if gamefreak never made a game again or if the games never existed in the first place? Yes if the former, maybe in the latter. It really depends if the anime becomes a massive hit and stays as one.
>>59381360We're breaking new battle factory records every day.KWAB Masuda, we're coming for you.
>>59384475Anon, the anime doesn't exist in a bubble. 'Least not in Japan, it's part of a multi-faceted marketing strategy to get kids interacting wth EVERY part of the brand. But it also don't run without the games to drive it, never has and never will (Ishihara delayed EVERYTHING, rather than pull a future Level-5 and kill the IP in its entirety by launching the anime, the toys the cards and the plushies, but not the games as Game Freak struggled to shit them out). You can sit and say "they would still sell, honest" but that ignores without a new Nintendo game to play with friends, schoolmates and train companions in the inbetween times of the half hour cartoon airing weekly, something else would catch fire and take interest away. New games means CONSTANTLY having the brand in child awareness because the constant addition, marketing and promotion of the new shit alongside Captain Pikachu and Charizard, Lucario and whatever other old reliable favourite that the series has produced over the years.
