Ever noticed how in the anime they never consider drinking water from their own water-type Pokemon?

Are water attacks unable to satiate thirst? Bad for humans?

I think the real answer is that it's just "water energy", it's not actual water, it just kind of dematerializes after the move is done.
Like how the plants from grass-type moves or the stones from rock-type moves don't stick around.

not true. They water the plants with water type moves in the anime plenty of times. clearly it hydrates living beings.
