This game asks of you that you played through most if not every mainline generation while also being okay with the gacha concept. Which turns out to be not a lot of Pokémon fans because most fans know the monsters or phase in and out of generations. This game means nothing if you only played Go or one generation a long time ago or only collect trading cards. The game is clearly only appealing for older fans but they write and design for Timmy just in case.
