Everyone was nice and taught us how to play the game. It wasn't nearly as complex as magic and energy cards weren't nearly the headache i thought they'd be like magic's mana system. Its kind of the same since you "tap" energy on your pokemon once per turn just like mtg but a lot easier to not get manascrewed thanks to supporter/item cards allowing you to just treat your deck like a big hand. Its also weird how a player isn't knocked out by running out of cards. Any other new players were nice too. Even saw someone pull the mega darkrai SIR that I wanted. At least I got to hold it and look at it. MSRP of a normal build & battle box was worth it.
