If I am a traditional Pokemon player who doesn't care about including previous gen Pokemon, will I enjoy playing the base game with the 400 Pokemon they did include? Is this one of those Pokemon games that requires you to buy the DLC to fix it, or can the base game be enjoyed standalone?
>>59400850National dex mons only affects the post-game experience imo, like if you want to bring a random shitmon to the game you can't, but most of the experience isn't that different from previous games if you're just counting the main story.DLC is good for this game, get it. (But I hope you have Sword because you get a spicy waifu instead of a faggot).
>>59400946>most of the experience isn't that different from previous games if you're just counting the main storyDo you find that the multiplayer is still active? Does it offer and rewards similar to 7 star raids in Scarlet/Violet? Which gen offers better Pokemon as rewards? I see raids are very active in Scarlet/Violet reading online, haven't seen much on gigantamax post game though.
>>59401020There's two types of raids, one I'm guessing is pretty dead, never tried it and never will, which is the tera raid equivalent. The NPCs are beyond awful and the only reason to play it is you can get Gmax pokemon from this. I'd recommend skipping, honestly. There's a new roguelike raid mode in the DLC, which is alive every few weeks as there's still groups of people hosting decent sized community events. However, you are forced to play with animations on if you play online, which is way worse than just speeding through solo and managing the AI's choices so they have as little room to fuck up as possible. This one has a ton of legendaries, everything is level 60 minimum, you use rental pokemon, and there's a 1/300 or 1/100 with charm shiny chance per capture after you finish a raid.
>>59401743Is Dynamax Adventures the good one or the bad one?
>>59401929The good one. Normal raids are abysmal with AI and pretty dead, I think. Doesn't help the rewards are mid.
>>59400850One thing we regret about choosing shield over sword is that we don't get Klara. We get stuck with a gay faggot pedophile called Avery.
>>59401935Is the base game enjoyable standalone or does the game need DLC?
>>59402145at least you got mommy Melony
>>59400850If you haven't played it yet, I'd rather choose SV over SwSh if I were you. Nothing about SwSh stands out, it's just a bad traditional Pokémon game. At least SV tries something new with the open world stuff and has surprisingly good writing
>>59402914Yes but the DLCs are better. It's a paradox.
