>>59401004What do you mean? It's a postgame quest structured like one. It has a different format for becoming stronger than the base game's usual lv100 cap. You have your Pokemon, hopefully at a high level (you can quickly bring up new DLC dex captures via candies, as you point out), and then you use the berries for donuts that give further boosts for pocket dimension forays. The Pokemon are there because that's the major draw of the entire fucking franchise, numbnuts. You get to have them on your team now, when you didn't before (thanks dexit).

>>59401730It’s extremely miserable. Battles aren’t the deciding factor, it’s RNG combined with berry grinding so it’s hard to give a good estimate since it all depends on your luck. Even with good berry strategies it’s entirely up to chance if you get Rotom or Bax in a Special Scan. Legendaries are hard set every five scans or so and you get Ghimmogoul through an NPC. But Bax and Rotom are the ones that can extend the grind almost indefinitely.
