And the interesting thing is, even though Misty could be hard, with stab bubble beam and a whopping base 100 special, in effect she never is because she spams X defend + tackle more often than not for some reason. It’s really unfortunate too, since she’s otherwise a great example of a boss with no hard counters, since all the grass/electric types you may have are stuck spamming weak stab moves that are further weakened by her hefty special stat. I’m assuming the ai is smarter in the remakes, in which case I wouldn’t be shocked if she really were this much of a wall.

Whitney's Miltank is an infamous stat check, but I'd reckon that Bugsy's Scyther, Misty's Starmie, Morty's Gengar, and Sabrina's Alakazam are equally insane in their games remakesMorty especially. His Gengar was a shitmon in the originals because Shadow Ball was coming off its paltry 65 Attack stat. Come the remake and it's suddenly wielding STAB Shadow Ball coming off its massive 130 Special Attack stat.
