Now that the autist has been so utterly discredited and debunked he had to resort to seething and jakposting let's return to the topic of the thread.Why is it so hard for games posterior to gen 2 to truly recapture what made Tyranitar so great? It's like they perfected pseudo-legendary design by the second iteration and just forgot about it. While I would say Volcarona and Metagross are good designs they really don't come close to Tyranitar. Is it really the Gojira influence?

They tried too hard with the cute mons in Johto, so an actually cool design like Tyranitar sticks out a lot. And Dragonite was a bit too cutesy for a lot of people, so Tyranitar was kinda exactly what those people wanted.That being said, the Gozdilla influences helped too, but I do think it's mostly the circumstances that made Tyranitar so iconic and recognised as a good design for a pseudo.
