>>59409474>Why did Pokefags collectively try to sabotage them back in 2018?The chibi artstyle, it was like the fourth remake of gen 1, they got rid of traditional battles, forced pokemon go bullshit, forced interaction with go bullshit in the catching requirements for progression, no more random battles, the last two killed off challenge runs, forced control scheme for the forced go mechanics made it unplayable for a number of disabilities, unbearably easy to play through, even more eevee pandering, shitty new rival, competitive play was fucked, had a $100 peripheral that gated a fan favorite mythical.Weird looking back since these were arguably the best games of the switch's entire generation.I guess we just had higher expectations from gamefreak at the time. We were still running on the highs of the 3ds and ds eras of pokemon. Now that we're nearly a full decade deep into effortless slop territories our standards are non-existent and these games look amazing by comparison.
