I've finally stopped giving Nintendo and the Pokemon Company my money.It just doesn't feel right to give them money so they can make more unfinished, lackluster games.I still fap to Lana/Suiren and have precious memories of the early anime, though.

Modern Pokemon games are worthless slop.But people can't even understand how genius Pokemon Red/Blue was back in the day.It was one of the best games in history.People don't see its greatness because they compare it to later installments, which are upgrades of the original game.But you have to understand what it took to make the very first Pokemon game. Someone had to come up with the concept of Pokemon catching, come up with 151 unique creatures, imagine the whole world with its cities, characters, unique mechanics like the "poke ball", "pokemon center", "gym leaders", "elite four", trading Pokemon with your friends etc etc.Do you understand how much world-building went into the first Pokemon game? You take shit like master balls, repels, fishing rods etc. for granted but someone had to come up with all of that crap for one single project. Naturally they also had to draw the graphics, compose the music, and code the fucking thing.Every other Pokemon game simply uses the lore that Pokemon Red/Blue established and adds maybe one new thing.It blows my fucking mind when I think what it took to make Red/Blue. They must have spent years just designing it.That's why it will always be the most respectable entry in the series. Some later installment might be a better gaming experience but it's all thanks to the first one.
