>May loses the Grand Festival and cries afterwards
>"There there May it's alright, you did nothing wrong."
>Ash loses the Indigo League and becomes depressed
>"Lol get over it bozo"
>>
>>59431317
Women are creatures of emotion. Ash isn't a tranny. Do the math.
>>
Contest wins/losses are all bullshit because the judges' point system makes no goddamn sense.

Relying on a Pokemon that is established to not obey him for a tournament match was all Ash's fault.
>>
>>59431561
Keep in mind he was forced to do that because Team Rocket kept wearing his Pokemon out trying to get back to the stadium in time to avoid disqualification, and Ritchie was actively stalling the judge so they could have their promised battle. By the time he got back he had to use the disobedient Charizard, and even that was penalized not because Charizard lost, but because the judge decided horseshit like sleep and disobedience counts as KOs.

That judge should've been fucking fired.
>>
>>59431317
You're talking about two different groups of people.
>>
>>59431317
You've decided to be retarded in two threads instead of one I see
>>
>Why are only superficially similar situations treated in completely different ways by different people under completely different contexts???
It's a mystery.
>>
>>59431317
today, anon learned about women
>>
I see OP's been rewatching the show on Youtube too.
I must say, May's Kanto loss was extremely anti-climactic, even compared to her Hoenn loss. It was almost Tobias-tier bad, and this was basically the end of May's story arc in the anime.
>>
>>59431317
Well it's because the Indigo League was in the Shudo era, wherein everyone was an asshole.
>>
>>59431561
I would have thrown Charizard into a wood chipper after that match.
>>
>>59431317
different writers. I wonder how Shudo would have handled May
>>
>>59431317
Ash actually failed as a trainer making it more crushing. He lost because his Pokemon gave up
>>
>>59431573
That judge got fed up with Ash's tardiness and decided to be petty
>>
>>59431573
You're fucking retarded. Charizard didn't have a status, it straight was just lying there and thought charmander wasn't even worth fighting. At that point it may as well count as a KO because the judge didn't know when charizard was going to give a fuck enough to battle. Same with squirtle, who the fuck knew when it was gonna wake up so ok round over. Stop applying your mega evolution dbz slop era to the first generation that clearly worked on a more logical pace.
>>
>>59432360
Seriously. I dont know how he didn't box or release Charizard immediately after that fumble. It kinda sucks Ash never addressed to charizard directly that it fucked him out of his one true goal at the time.
>>
>>59431317
Men are sore losers that can't handle loss lol
>>
>>59431317
May is a pretty busty girl and Ash is an ugly spic boy.
>>
>>59432381
Yeah, it's this.
>lose because the other person was just better
>lose because you didn't train your mon and it told you to go fuck yourself when you asked it to fight
Big difference.
>>
>>59431573
The judge was in the right to end the match. Pryce got badly damaged by a Magmar cause the ref didn't stop the match in Johto. It's consistent that old time trainers like Oak and Pryce moved from being able to travel with loose to an actual tournament.
>>
>>59432417
Ash and Gary are equally tardy. I missed thst comfiness of Pokemon. Nu Pokemon is unmemorable cause everyone now is an expert
>>
>>59431573
>>59433099
>The judge was in the right to end the match

the judge should have moved the match after team rockets attack
>>
>>59433108
Ash was an idiot and didn't explain the situation to anyone.
>>
>>59433113
i agree but so was the judge and everyone else for not wanting a official explanation on why hes late

made me mad as a kid and makes me mad now. ash should have lost but not like that
>>
>>59431317
Tell me you hate women without telling me lol
>>
>>59433119
Yes i do hate women. Thanks for noticing

Ultimately the writers are more to blame than anyone. They're the ones who relied on an idiot plot. As much as they (or any revisionist) critic try painting the losses as necessary or blaming the MC, they're the ones who decided to make the Gym Leaders hand a free gym badge to Ash in OS. Not GF, not Nintendo, or TPC (some fans actually thought Ash didn't win leagues because of a stipulation requiring Ash to lose), it was entirely on OLM. They're the ones who made the characters as stupid as possible. I can excuse Ash losing a league, but they also gave Ash a stupid plot armor and made him 1v3 his first league battle with a Pokémon he caught in the wild before his third gym badge and NEVER used in a battle before. In the same league, no less. I get that it's a kids show, but that's no excuse for bad writing. Having a inconsistent narrative and trying to pretend there was substance behind it was a insult to their viewers' intelligence.
>>
>>59433123
Well I hope you don't mind the idea of dying alone and childless cause that's your future, just so you know
Or being gay, you can do that too of course, probably the better option for you
>>
>>59433014
It's Ash's fault, not Charizard. Ash is the trainer - he is supposed to train, and he did not do that.

And if it weren't for Charizard he never would have gotten Blaine's badge to enter in the first place.
>>
>>59431317
No one expects anything from w*men
>>
>>59432318
Her Hoenn loss was particularly fucked up because it was an exact mirror of her first contest loss.
>>
>>59431573
Use fucking Tauros
He has 30 of those

They even had Drew jobbing to the same guy lmao
>>
>>59433351
or kingler...
even muk might have worked better
>>
I'm surprised people don't get at this point the two simple things
>Shudo wanted to make Pokemon training an impossibly hard task that a mere ten year old can never actually succeed at
>Ash was being punished for never attempting to resolve Charizard's disobedience
>>
>>59433432
Charizard's disobedience never made sense to begin with as retarded as ash might be he always treated his pokemon well
>>
>>59433448
Charmeleon/zards are prideful dicks according to the dex, and Ash asked his to job to a fucking Paras.
>>
>>59433432
I get where he was getting at. The execution still sucked.
>>
>>59433432
Didnt Damian release his Charmander and so Charizard is rightfully Ash's pokemon instead of being a trade mon? Disobedience doesnt really make sense by game rules since Ash had 8 badges by that point.
>>
>>59432374
Depends on the context. If she was written during Indigo League she probably would have been written as someone dismissive of Ash or unimpressed with him. If written during AG, then probably the same as her canonical depiction but with a more vain personality and less sanitized. Her screw-ups would probably be called out on more harshly than in AG and she might occasionally have gotten the OS Ash treatment if she started acting selfish towards her Pokémon like in the episode where she used Bulbasaur and got reprimanded by the judges.
>>
>>59433448
Being treated well doesn't guarantee obedience. Just ask any parent with a dickhead teenager.
>>
>>59431317
May was a shitter that won most of her ribbons by knocking out her opponents
>>
>>59433119
I don't like women, but May wouldn't have reacted like that with Ash so OP is barking up the wrong tree.
>>
>>59433143
Stop seething foid.
>>
>>59433589
Yeah true, OP just wanted to bitch
>>59433637
First of all I'm obviously not a woman and secondly I'm not seething, if anything I'm amused by the fact that people like you removed yourselves from the genepool thanks to internet brainrot kek
>>
>>59433556
>Didnt Damian release his Charmander and so Charizard is rightfully Ash's pokemon instead of being a trade mon? Disobedience doesnt really make sense by game rules since Ash had 8 badges by that point.
I see this brought up a lot and while he never confirmed it I believe Shudo was never actually attempting to adapt the game mechanic. If you pay close attention to his writing you will notice he makes the most deviations from the games, rarely ever focuses on Pokemon battles, and always treats the Pokemon as if they are supposed to be actual animals and pets who can just be unreasonable at times
>>
>>59433712
Being too to-the-letter in adapting such a game mechanic for an animated series plot is counterproductive anyway, when said mechanic is a representation of precisely the sort of situation where a pet is being unreasonable to begin with, just done in a way that somewhat makes sense within the game's confines.
>>
>>59433556
You are talking about the gen 1 pokemon anime. They would never portray something so digital and mechanical as a pokemon automatically accepting a trainer because he had the right number of badges. The anime tried to treat it as if the game mechanics are just a computed version of what's actually happening. It was actually cool.
>>
>>59433669
Nta
But posting like that anon Indeed indicates what you said, but being a white knight on the Internet for women also shows that you removed yourself from the gene pool. Its also patethic.
>>
>>59433712
>>59433804
Shudo even literally wrote an episode showing a faggot thinking he was hot shit for being good at a battle simulator that looked just like the video games, then got his ass kicked in a real battle because it turns out actually commanding a real creature in a real life battle is very different from a simplified turn based simulation.
See also those fags insisting that if they got isekaied into the Pokemon anime they'd be beating Champions all day long because they beat some Pokemon games.
>>
>>59433669
kek thats even worse, stop seething and projecting retard.
>>
>>59434404
>both sides are le bad
Hilarious
>>
>>59434415
people always forget that your player character is supposed to be a prodigy. if these battles were real it wouldn't be so simple

That makes this episode even better.
