LGPE are already 8 years old. Plus they were gimmicky dogshit built to cash in on Pokemon go so they are not worth revisiting. FRLG feels extremely outdated because they are 3rd gen games and don't have the physical/special split and are missing so many qol features the later games added. Kanto doesn't actually have a proper modern incarnation.
