>>59437193While a fine idea, there's a high chance it would get crushed or broken VERY easily. Ignore the Pokedex, Onix probably weighs closer to 40 tons. Now imagine trying to tie a belt onto the side of a rolling, sentient Tank. Still, a prosthetic rig MIGHT work, but the sheer size mismatch might make things even harder. I do have some plans for later on in the story to communicate, though.

Given that onix is of course a rock type, one could even imagine carving a shallow groove for the belt to recess into. Maybe even the tools themselves on a pivot mount.

You could split the cost of food since portion sizes are so much different, and maybe even split the rooms in half horizontally so you don’t have so much wasted space overhead and you get the psychological benefit of a roof over head (obviously without being too close). If they pool their purchasing power, they could get genuine quality small furniture custom made instead of just toys or 3D printed stuff. They wouldn’t have to be cramped like apartments, each one could still have a decent amount of space.
