>>59439188I often like playing with more than 6 mon so I get the "full" experience, so I often swap things around. Morty's Gengar was like ~10 lvls higher than everything I had and could one hit everything, except that he had fucking nothing against normal types - he only had Sucker Punch and Shadow Ball so >pidgey stalled his ass out.Just did Olivine Gym days ago before doing Cianwood (opposite order, for the hell of it), and again had the same ~10 level issue. To take on Jasmine's two Magnemites, swap stalling with >Onix and Gastly was easy. For her steelix though, I start off with>intimidate Stantlerthat lowers his attack first. I then swap to>intimidate Growlitheto lower it again while it takes the fall. I then go back to Stantler to lower it to -3 now, then swap to Gastly to take the next hit. Stantler is back in for -4 and with Choice Scarf, has two attempts to put Steelix to sleep with Hypnosis. Either way>Togetic with Sitrus BerryCharms his ass down to -6 and when Steelix wakes up, will try to Yawn his ass to sleep again. Whatever the outcome, in comes >Poliwhirl to Bodyslam this fucker into Paralysis after a couple of tries. Finally, I use>Magmar with Shell Bell (recovery after each hit)who can actually survive a couple hits now to Ember the guy to death. Overall, it's like a +15 minute battle at least, but I was happy I was able to get through it.

Having spore and sleep powder on the same team helped my whole squad survive fighta much longer than they otherwise probably would have gotten stomped in. Fights with some fire type pokemon would have probably been impossible without Water Pulse
>>59441030I should also mention Masquerain having double intimidate activation every battle would have been more useful than STAB Water Pulse, I just have a preference for Surskit and I wanted it to not be overleveled like when I soloed Hoenn with it. And also 6 different /bug types :3

My team right now in White 2 is Charmeleon and Flaaffy. I swapped out my starter using Pokéhex. I'm now thinking of doing my own hacked run with my own ruleset since I do not know how to make my own ROM hack. This picture is my projected team. I plan to catch a Pokémon and swap it out for a Pokémon I think would be catchable in that area. So for example if you want a Dustox catch a Pokémon in Pinwheel Forest and change it for a legal Wurmple then raise it. Alternatively, choose a Cascoon or Dustox depending on how lazy or annoyed you feel. Yes, I plan on evolving my ghost. I kept it like that in the picture because I think it is cute. I usually put in infinite healing items and lucky eggs and experience shares to cut down on travel and grinding. I like to do this in games that I play where I can. I can't do this in the other games that I play (yellow legacy and crystal legacy). I'm thinking of making it easier by making a document telling where all the supposed catches should be so I don't have to think through it every time. What do you guys think? Is there anything you think I should catch? I'll probably also catch some of my favorite Pokémon but not raise them for example Vanillish. I also like to hack in shinies if I think it would be more fun. For example, I had a shiny swinub in crystal legacy because I like the sprite in that game.

Playing a harder Crystal hack. I'm right before the E4 and daylight savings cheesed evolution stones after Clair, it was pretty cool playing with NFEs for most of the game, pretty challenging.
Fire Red, just beat the Pokemon Mansion and about to take on Blaine. Unfortunately due to my habit of trying to make use of almost all the Pokemon I catch most of my frens are rather underlevelled. Whoops!
