I saw last time Sprig was in that it was one of the few lacking the shiny indicator but I assumed it was a mere mistake since most other starters had theirs. Now Sprig is still missing it and it has spread to Grookey. Anyone knows why this is the case? I swear that I have seen both shiny Meows and shiny Rillas. Can't find anything on it but it is weird as fuck that this is how its presented consistently on various fronts now.

I'm cleaning my inventory and I have like 70 unowns. Do I trash them or do they have any trade weight?

Mimikyu kinda fucked Great League in it's entirety. You need a direct answer to it. Standard tends to be Lickilicky, but you can get away with any of the viable normals really (Diggersby, Wigglytuff, Furret, Oinkologne, Greedent, Dunsparce, etc.) On the plus side, if you have a Mimikyu, you can kinda just curb stomp anyone who doesn't prepare for it.

Ultra League scrapes by a bit by virtue of Mimikyu existing for, like, one week, and needing to be nearly maxed out (with optimal IVs requiring actually maxing out). You'll still encounter one in Ace ranks, but it's rarely at 2450+ CP, so you don't need a dedicated answer until you get to really high ranks, which if you plan on tanking, is a non-issue. Other than that, it's a steel meta. Corviknights, Tinkatons, Empoleons, Forretress, and Registeel are abundant. I say pack a Jellicent if you have one, since it's kinda the only answer to all the steels in the game, even if it really just half-beats them.

Master League has been unchanged since Zacian dropped. You can just run the Zacian / Ho-oh / Palkia-O core that was top last year, because it kinda still is. Kyurems are banned right now due to a bug, so that actually does mess with whose top dog. I doubt Zacian is still top when it's two most important prey got banned, meanwhile things like Lugia and Yveltal can breath easier without dying horribly to a Kyurem.

As far as mechanically, things have gotten only a little unstable. One of the main benefits is that, if you drop connection for a second, the game no longer assumes you're doing fuck-all. It instead assumes you were doing quick move spam, which is a little better. They changed the timing of everything though, so if you have a muscle memory, get ready to get fucked a few rounds as you relearn it.

My take is Necrozma Dawn Wings. There's a lot of overlap with the what the others accomplish, but Dawn Wings is unique.
There are 3 "fused" steels to work with (Dogs and Dusk Mane), which is a crowded number for a type that doesnt see much action (Regice, Regirock, Kyurem, Xerneas, Terrakion, and Tapu Lele)
Both Kyurem's are good because of the number of dragon and flying legendaries, but you have other options for non 4x weak options.
Meanwhile, taking out a psychic or ghost raid (which psychic is very common legendary type) is pretty much on the back of Necrozma Dawn Wings. There's not a lot of alternatives
Necrozma Dawn Wings is also one of the best beat sticks with Party Power. There's a lot of neutral match ups where it competes with the super effective roster because Moongeist Beam is just that busted.
Kyurem White would be my second choice, simply because Ice has the most weaknesses out of any 5 star raids. It'll get the most amount of action, even if the buff is smaller compared to using things like the Origin Forms or Shadow Dragons vs Dawn Wings and Shadow Darkrai.

I'd go for Zacian (Zamazenta works fine as well, but Zacian tends to be better). It's the best Steel type raid attacker, best steel type max attacker, really fucking lanky for both raids and max battles, and incredibly versatile with its fairy typing.

It depends. The 5% XL candy chance increase isn't that big of a boost, but the +2 levels your mega gets when it reaches Super Max Level is pretty significant for raid attackers. Unless your grinding out Master League, it's better to think of the gold cap as a cosmetic choice rather than an optimization choice. The scenario that a 10/12/12 Primal fails a raid that a 15/15/15 Primal would have succeeded is pretty much non-existent.
So go for it. I used mine on my Jirachi cuz Im only ever getting one, and I have no regrets. This Kyogre would be, objectively, a better choice than Jirachi.

Second place would go to Shiny Fug (as long as you already have the mega energy) and third place would go to the Kyogre you posted before (do you have primal energy for it?). Mega Rayquaza boosts psychic types as well. So, in your scenario, Mega Alakazam really was only useful for Terrakion raids, since that’s the only raid psychic works where flying doesn’t.
But if providing boost was more important, I would think Mega Latios would be a better option against Terrakion. You sacrifice a very small amount of damage for doubling its longevity, providing the boost way longer. I would argue Mega Alakazam still wasnt optimal in a situation tailor made for it, but I guess it wasn’t useless.

It was okay for that, but I mostly used it against Necro during those fusion raid days since Dawn Wings is quad-weak to ghost-type and I don't have to swap when fighting Dusk Mane.

I've never invested in Mega Lati@s because neither learn ghost moves and Mega Ray is strictly better (I assumed, correctly, we would get it during the year of Hoenn Tour, plus I specifically invested in Mega Alakazam for psychic/ghost coverage).

What's the strat with XXL mins? I'm doing a deep cleaning of my inv now that we have the chance of getting XL candies from transferring but I don't know how to go about selecting which XXL mons to keep. Do I just keep one of each species and the biggest if I have multiples of them? That's what I did for the XXS.

The origin formes aren't bugged, it's that the selection screen is bugged.

It used to be that showcase points were weighted solely on the Pokémon's default or original forme, so variants like origin, regional, fused, etc would award way more points because an Alolan Exeggutor is waaaay bigger than a Kantonian one. Hoopa Unbound was another one that scored way too big.

Showcases fixed that calculation so it's relative to its own variation, but the selection screen shows the points for the previous calculation.

Steel chair Zorua is still a thing though.

By the way, Niantic's spaghetti code is all over the place with selecting Pokémon.
The current box screen will show an icon if a Pokémon has a background, as does the remote trade selection screen.
But the local trade screen? Nope, no background icon, you aren't seeing that background until after you've made your selection.

Shit's fucking annoying when you're doing a trade session and haven't done your special trade(s) yet.
Like, all those nice features in the remote trading screen that shows details of the Pokémon with a long-press? Not available in local trades. Hell, that would be useful in the regular box so you can see the IVs at a glimpse without going through the fucking team leader appraisal.

Mega Dragonite is actually pretty good if you raid with Party Power. Draco Meteor performs so much better with PP on, that it's just shy of Mega Ray.
It's also a lot easier to use that Mega Ray. Dragon Tail / Outrage has such a huge cooldown difference compared to Dragonbreath / Draco Meteor (+Dragon Claw for low HP hits). Mega Ray with Breaking Swipe is basically tied with Mega Dragonite, and Mega Ray can't run a full dragon moveset to get the best of both worlds.

Essentially, a very small buddy weight would glitch out Zorua's with auto-catchers, and give them exceedingly high weight stats.
It was patched out last year, but the Zorua's have not been removed from accounts.
