>>59441698Hoenn was before the Sinnoh powercreep. Back then, pokemon in general leaned more towards generalists, stats overall were lower, and movesets were shallower. Your team in particular is weak even by early gen standards but back then they were merely below average rather than humiliation ritual weak. Outside of the handful of Gen 1 shillmons who were minmaxed from the starter, if not for the rampant KANTOOOOOOOOO shilling, Gen 1 would have just as many shitmons.
