Isn't it interesting how nobody playing Pokemon cares about PalWorld or plays both, meanwhile every exclusive PalWorld fan constantly obsesses over Pokemon as if they were trying to justify their obsession, purchase, and time investment?

I remember when it came out it was pretty equally retarded but now that PalWorld has fallen out of the collective consciousness for almost everyone and they removed the egregious stolen art assets nobody seems to care.

I wonder if Nintendo will continue to try to seek legal action against PalWorld however, Sony is desperately trying to attempt to make them a second Pokemon with all of the spinoffs and promotions and the trading card game and etc. I can't imagine Nintendo wouldn't do something about it especially considering the game exists on the laurels of generations of GameFreaks hard work.

Also I have to wonder if the success of their franchise will affect our games in any way. People say it has but every game that's released has been in development for a while before it even came out. I think if any game is heavily inspired or changed by it it would be WdWe but none of the leaks have shown anything similar to anything in PalWorld to my knowledge.
>>
No not really.
>>
>nobody playing Pokemon cares about PalWorld
You don't play Pokemon?
>>
>>59448147
No I play Pokemon. Also that's a false equivalency, because the subject of the thread is primarily about the people coming to this board to post about an unrelated game with only dubious at best connection to Pokemon and obvious intention to shitpost. It's about the effects of a subject not the subject itself. I do not pretend to put my head in the sand and not see what exists right in front of me unlike some people. This is the exact type of posting that I personally associate with the degradation of the board but I'll hold my tongue.
>>
>>59448136
what if i don't play any official pokemon games or rom hacks and i don't care about palworld?
>>
I've never played palworld and I make threads about palworld on the pokemon board.
>I'll hold my tongue
Clearly not.

All they had to do was make a good game, yet they sued instead
Fuck this franchise

ye, fuck palworld, if they didn't exist nintendo wouldn't have sued

>Sony is desperately trying to attempt to make them a second Pokemon with all of the spinoffs and promotions and the trading card game and etc
It's a pity they didn't learn the lesson taught to them by Nintendo who discovered their Pokémon. It was an off-kilter idea posited by a young dev studio which through the strength of its character design drew enough interest from kids to demand toys of them, want to see a cartoon or read a comic about them. Who'd buy genre reskins featuring them. But it dies without Yamauchi seeing the potential in the idea, funding it AND seconding Miyamoto to Game Freak and Tajiri to mentor them during development. The handheld system it was being made for was also critical to its success. Kids everywhere had a cheap-ass Game Boy while sony's shit's always been far too expensive for what it ultimately was.

5% too, that's rough. All the same, these hands are Steel type.

kill yourself, tendie
palworld demonstrated how game freak doesn't care about making decent games, because you imbeciles will continue to consume their trash with 0 effort in it. .l.

>Nintendo who discovered their Pokémo
What cope is this?
Any adult who looks back knows that pokemania was strategically manufactured and did cost millions

Pokemania was created from the ANIME and the anime like he-man before it was literally made as a ADVERTIZEMENT for the franchise!

Yes there are unique aspects to it like collecting and memorizing new mons HOWEVER the anime ceried it all and did you even remember s1? And how balls to the wallz unhinged it was? Remember the Godzilla sized ancient pokemon in s1 that no one ever mentioned? Godzila pokemon before gigamaxing. How about Sabrina? She makes psychic powers in humans canon and also magic humans who can transform you into a doll.

Also the writing is really good.
>Muh games
The games are dogshit except the music. The sprites are ass and every kid was forcing the pictures from the anime into the sprites in their head this is why pokemon stadium was so popular it made the pokemon look like the anime.

The games are simplistic RPG walking simulators that even a retarded child can finish. The battling was what made us happy.
What made the games cool was they they where on a mobile gaming console the game boy and you can take them with you everywhere a mind blowing idea! In the 90s!
Unlike monster rancha who was only on a play station. Also pokemon did not have truly cancerous gameplay unlike monster rancha. However pokemon games in gen1 have toxic game play ideas like HMs etc.

Do not pretend that the sucess of this franchise in the 90s was not a expensive operation by Nintendo.
>>
Palworlds entire existence depends on the existence of Pokemon. Of all the “Pokemon killers” this is probably the weakest.
>>
>>59448448
No, you hilariously dumb spastic third worlder. Telly didn't create it, your dead boyfriend's a footnote rather than a cornerstone and Tajiri developed the idea for it after seeing a bug crawl along a cable in his mind's eye in late '89/early '90. Sounds like you're the dogshit human, if you need to honestly, earnestly lie to other adults online to make your childhood experience more important than reality informs it.
>>
>>59448462
That makes no sense.
>>
>>59448531
>>59448448
You both are bad at writing.
>>
>>59448462
I played pallworld and then I stopped not really into the retarded base building aspect.

However the level of sheathing this game creates in pokefags is unreal. Don't like it don't play it or talk about it. Do you search daily about temtem or whatever that game was?

Starting from /vp/ baning threads talking about it back in the day to pokefags celebrating Nintendo throwing lawsuits at the devs, to today's thread of this game living rent free in your heads

If you want to know what made me quit it it was the retarded progression system that demanded I catch 50 more mons before I get to level up on crafting or something and I am not catching 50 of the same mons so I quit. Unreal how you pokefags are obsessed with it to this day.
>>
>>59448568
>>59448531

The point I am making is that pokemon are not some great brilliant idea some indie dev made and it became big.

Over 90% of it's success was of millions Nintendo dropped on promoting it with the anime. The rest is the time technology it was on.
Mons on the go, mobile game before smartphones
The gameplay is ok however nothing special.
>>
>>59448136
>if the success of their franchise will affect our games
Pal world is just an arguably better Ark. The biggest thing that's comparable is the spheres and the creatures that look like Pokemon with modern day Sugimori's style.
>>
>>59448800
Where does this "anime made the franchise" cope come from? The Pokemon cartoon didn't have wildly higher budget than other shows at the time, but let's pretend it did for a moment. Where did it get that funding? Who greenlit such a budget? This fanfic of yours, it doesn't hold water.
>>
>>59448136
Didn't read.
You do it for free.
>>
>>59448151
>calling the inverse of something a false equivalency
We love psudo-intellectuals. I bet you think reverse-racism isnt racism, too
>>
>>59448829
Wow what meltdown!
> Le big budget!
LOL see he-man in the 80s that cartoon did have a dog shit budget and the animation is inferior and the plot non existant compared to even what was before it namely thunder the barbarian.

The point is that the cartoon existed as advertisement for the toys! Who made milions!

>Where did it get that funding? Who greenlit such a budget
Are you retarded?
You can look that one up on your own.
I bet it was Nintendo or GameFreak or some incestuous combination like the pokemon company etc.

>Where
Because the sprites look like ass! If there was no anime there would be no toys see how the sprites looked like. Without the anime pokemon should be a semi popular Gameboy game nothing more.

However not even that you can look up how Nintendo injected money into game freak when they ran out of money while making the first game. The fact is Nintendo did smell money and backed it all up during development with lots of money
>>
mmmmmMMMMmmm yeah, Palworld won.
>>
>>59449032
>I bet it was
Speculation and headcanon. Seethe and cope lol!
>>
>>59448136
I play Palworld everyday and haven't touched a pokemon game since 2022, yet I come here
>>
>>59449091
>Seethe and cope lol!
YIKES!
And what do you think? That the indie guy at game freak forked the money?
>>
>>59449493
I think you're a materialist chud. It was the will of Kami-sama, carried out by Satoshi Tajiri his prophet.
>>
>>59448136
>Isn't it interesting how nobody playing Pokemon cares about PalWorld or plays both, meanwhile every exclusive PalWorld fan constantly obsesses over Pokemon
Except literally the opposite of this is happening lmfao.
Most play both and the only ones seething over Palworld being successful are some of the more deranged Pokemon fans that haven't touched Palworld, and game journalists for some reason.
>>
>>59449670
Game journalists are rightfully hating on PalWorld because it's not that good but also because it's riding on the laurels of Pokemon and stealing their assets and the game is just automatically generated terrain and AI code propped up by Sony and Bitcoin money. They even trained their AI on the Pokemon models themselves just just images. It's in the next lawsuit Nintendo is attempting to win.

>Isn't it interesting how nobody playing Pokemon cares about PalWorld or plays both,
My brother plays both. The only reason I don't is because I don't buy early access games, or even new games. I might pick up Palworld next year depending on what the sales price is.
>now that PalWorld has fallen out of the collective consciousness
They had half as many players as their all time high a week ago. This is a cope.
>they removed the egregious stolen art assets nobody seems to care.
You sure about that?
>I wonder if Nintendo will continue to try to seek legal action against PalWorld however,
They will until they get kicked out of court. They did it with emulation in the 90s, this isn't a new thing for Nintendo. Especially with Palworld, winning was never the point(IIRC they asked for a comically low amount for damages), it was about bullying competitors and stifling anyone else getting ideas of trying to take Pokemon's crown.
>wonder if the success of their franchise will affect our games in any way.
I mean, hopefully, yeah. Competition might get Game Freak to stop making poorly optimized trash that looks like a PS2 game.
>>59448291
>shit's always been far too expensive for what it ultimately was.
That's not at play here though? Palworld is $30, new pokemon games are $80. If anything, it's Nintendo's shit that's too expensive for what it is.
>>59448829
>>59449032
The anime was just gravy. The games were huge before it even hit.
>>
>>59448136
I play both because I'm not a turboautist obsessed with brand loyalty and shitflinging
>>
>>59449680
>I just lie
>>
>>59449670
>for some reason.
Hey not dick sucking pokemon however palworld is bad and the pokefags will not tell you why.
I played it it is a interesting idea however like 2h in the game demanded that I catch 15 of the same mon to unlock a upgrade for the base or the mon or something(don't remember what it was) and then I quit. I did not like the base building shit. Did anyone voice this criticism before?
>>
>>59451378
>The games were huge
It is a ok game however mid at best. Back on the game boy days almost anything on the Gameboy made money since the idea of playing games on the go was revolutionary to kids.

I got into the games after I have seen the anime and it was the anime who was the seling point.
Also notice how the anime is an advertisement for the game in contrast to digimon or monster rancha
>Wait WTF the gigantic stone discs in ancient ruins in the anime are supposed to signal that the game let's you discover mons in the IRL CDs you can plug in to get mons????!!!!

Monster rancha anime VS game is so bafling! It is unreal!
PS monster rancha is also a example of a dude bro game for 15+ gamers.
You can get a normal mon from the CD or literally trash that looks like the glitched.

Very frustrating for kids who where not conditioned to expect this; and the most based thing ever for dudebro gamers
>ACH yes I got total trash as a mon based as FUCK!
>The most based game ever made

The anime should be totally different and at the minimum use actual CDs not people sized stone discs! Also explain to the kids they can get total trash mons. Also do not include mons who literally look like the game glitched or the artist is a schizo and snorted cocain; in the game itself! I am talking about the cube/wall mon who is textured like the game glitched out!

>It is a ok game however mid at best.
Your opinion of the game doesn't mean anything.
>Back on the game boy days almost anything on the Gameboy made money since the idea of playing games on the go was revolutionary to kids.
Uh, no. The game boy was cool on it's own, but it wasn't nearly as big before Pokemon as after. Kid Icarus and MIlon's Secret Castle weren't pushing units like Pokemon was. Everyone who had a game boy got Pokemon, and those who didn't got a game boy to get Pokemon.
>Also notice how the anime is an advertisement for the game
I'm not saying it's not, but it's more important to the continued success than initial. Red/Blue was doing fine before the anime hit.
>in contrast to digimon or monster rancha
...what?
>Monster rancha anime VS game is so bafling! It is unreal!
Oh, you're simple.
>Very frustrating for kids who where not conditioned to expect this
Maybe you, I never knew anyone with this problem. You sound like you're actually autistic.
>>
isn't it interesting how I make a headcanon in my head then post it to /vp/ as if it is a fact
