Do you think OU and, by extension, the rest of the tiers will improve with him gone? Worsen? Personally, I think it should've happened years ago. OU's been a mess for ages now, and a lot of the rulings have been in service of how the current system works. They haven't actually been making the tiering format or the tiers themselves better and/or fun to play with the series increasingly rising power levels and GF's own methods of internal balancing.

If anything lays at his feet with regards to gen 9, it's giving the users the option to craft a game they think they want or adhering to the community's votes years after they happened. The biggest issues are due to the votes of the players.
