There has never been a game that has made me as close as killing myself than Competitive Pokemon. Not For Honor, not League or Overwatch or Tekken. Pokemon fucking Showdown. Its. Absolute. Horseshit. No matter what I do I keep ending up in losing streaks. Its like all my efforts and plays get sucked into a black hole. No matter what I do, I inevitably end up permanently stuck in middle tier. I use the sample teams, I study tournaments. I even use stall/fat teams. I could even pretend I'm Magnus Carlsen and wait a minute every turn to think 2 turns ahead and plan strats. Nothing works. If I win one, then I immediately lose two. It's like I'm running around aimlessly in circles. I've hit a wall. No matter what format, I can't go above 1400 ELO. I'm unable to progress, unable to move forward. No matter what time of day, no matter what my emotional state at the time is, no matter what I do or who I ask, I'm just stuck in low tier. This game is actually dangerous you know, I wouldn't do it but one day someone's gonna mow down children and then turn the gun on themself and the first words on their manifesto will say "Pokemon Showdown
