LGPE is a great and very underrated Pokemon game. I don't understand why so many people here dislike it.I think the only negative thing about LGPE is that it has a low difficulty, even for Pokemon standars, but even that makes sense because it was an intentional design choice. And almost all Pokemon games are easy anyway, I guess.Most importantly, LGPE feels like a well-made game that was finished in time and wasn't rushed during development. That's my favorite thing about LGPE, because most Pokemon games feel rushed in one way or another.LGPE also has my favorite feature, Mega Evolutions, and also the best following/riding Pokemon implementation ever.Also, LGPE is the best looking Pokemon game ever, bar none.

LGPE is probably the most underrated game in the whole franchise.It has the best region (Kanto), the best gimmick (Mega Evolution), the best implemention of following and riding Pokemon, as well as the best graphics.It's not the most complete Pokemon game, but everything it does, it does it brilliantly.

Reposting this take: https://archive.palanq.win/vp/thread/59444055/#q59444433FUCK that game.While I understand it's one of the best speedruns, the art style is really good, and it did following / riding Pokémon the best to date, the issues are constant>candies are single feed, no mass use>catching is awful, anything but excellent usually breaks out>moving catches are worse, only being undocked let's you accurately try to target>locked mew behind a dogshit Go add-on>no non-G1 evos, even in postgame>box management is far far far worse than any other game (aside from G1 and old limitations)>get any amount of chain over 11 and the sky is FLOODED with spawns and Dragonites and Charizards, like Kanto is such a weird hellhole>even more worthless rival than usual. Blue expy in a game where Blue still shows upI'd like to also add the berry system is bad. Instead of quick menu like Go, you have to unpaused menu > pick berry from a grid menu > hit button to feed (while timer before flee is counting) >wait for ball respawn > repeat and waste time each time
