The truth is that, not only should Light not be a Type (but it *should* totally be an Affinity or Class or a Sub-Type or something like that) but in the same way, Dark shouldn't be a Type either. It makes zero sense to have one without the other. Dark in Pokemon is pretty much just a personality type, it's not really an element or whatever. 95% of Dark Types are just "it uses underhanded battle tactic". It doesn't belong as a Type.
