Let's set aside Indonesia for a moment. Americans being 300 million and the internet/reddit/youtube being mostly americanized gives the impression that other countries care about chasing English or Japanese for the perceived internet hype value.
In Europe most countries with a TPCi language collect in their own language rather than English. They don't care about your headcanon of "only two languages".
And for the last sentence it's not just a few bucks, at least it wasn't up to last year. I have done the opposite in some cases, i.e. buy English because Japanese was too expensive (see the XY promos and the radiant collection for example, some were 10x the price in Japanese).
Now it's all blurred because investards got to the Esperanto languages as well, so you see the Indonesian Mewtwo being 1/3 of English, while last year it would have been 1/20.

Again, most of my collection is already in JP, and out of 200+ cards I have maybe 10 cards in chinese and only 2 in Indonesian, in these cases the difference in prices were massive. If I bought those few cards in Japanese I would have spent more than a thousand extra $ and there's no way you'll ever convince me that it's worth it just because JP is the more mainstream language.

I pulled this when I was a child and the packs were still in stores. I remember, at the time, no one really caring much about having a pokemon that belonged to someone else (i.e. "Erika's" or "Sabrina's").
But now, I really like how it adds some colour to the pokemon world, especially when the pokemon are something you wouldn't normally consider that particular trainer owning, but when you think about it a little longer it actually fits thematically (Erika's Dragonair).

Anyways, I really like the cards that Giovanni and the Rocket team have.

No idea, haven't been there. The closest analogy I can make is buying a single card for ~500 of the local currency. Cards are essentially works of art, and since I genuinely have a purpose for it, it didn't feel wrong to me. With that said, unlike oil on canvas, I take my favorite cards with me on my hours of commuting to and from work, so I can enjoy them anytime unlike a canvas on a wall.

A PSA7 is labelled as NM (Near Mint) on the slab itself.
Have you ever bought and cracked and inspected a PSA7 card? It's about a 100% likelihood that you would consider that card LP or even MP if you saw it in the wild raw. But, under the rules of PSA that this whole fucking hobby abides by, a card that grades a psa7 is considered NM (so it can have significant whitening and scratches and be off center).

LP would be a PSA 4-6, MP 2-3, HP and Damaged is PSA 1.

Not sure If I got fucked on this trade or not but my cost basis on the JP Jirachi was $55. The PSA 4 had a swirl on it while the JP one didn't. JP one also had pretty bad scratches on closer inspection. Guy gave me $20 plus the PSA 4 for my non swirled JP copy. Also the PSA 4 is a pop 7.

I only have it running once a day to show a table of cards sorted by a countdown and wipes out finished auctions from the list. If something like a vintage PSA 9 or 10 shows up with an hour to go and is below the average price, it's usually worth a look
