Yes the IV floor is 10, meaning each stat has 6 possible outcomes for 216 different possible stat combinations.
But that doesn't mean each outcome is equal 1/6 odds, I've had a suspicious number of raid days where I only get one or two Pokémon with 15 attack out of more than a couple dozen.

"IVs don't matter", "they have minimal impact on the game", people will say.
That doesn't change the psychological and societal peer-pressure effect of chasing hundos or perfects or whatever. Each raid is just a scratch-card to try for a hundo, or a shiny, or both.

This is why Niantic cover their ass with the Pokémon encounter being a "bonus", even though it's the primary motivation for raiding over the items you receive.

my buddy told me the only thing worth mega raiding for go fest finale might be delphox because it will be the new top fire raid attacker. but i dont really ever use fire attackers unless its like against a scizor or something thats got a double weakness. i always use groudons and other grounds against steel types. i use my army of steels against ice types. i use my strong flyers like rayquaza and slamence against bugs. and i use flyers like rayquaza or ice types like kyurem and mamoswine against grass. so fire is kind of redundant. also i get my mega bonus from primal groudon that covers fire. i could see using the super mega for the level 4 max mega candy bonus for fire types but i spent a ton of time max mega leveling ing my megas to have something of every type at max mega level. so now that there is super max mega level i want to get super max mega levels of every type for the bonus candy of course but im not gonna whale and grind all that mega energy paying for remote passes to get 5k+ mega energy of every type just so i can get some more xl candies from shitmons.

there are either autoupdating interactive community maps depending on your area or the terrible wayfarer map. theres no device bind, only an outside email bind and a nickname that can't be changed without paying. the niantic account is another nickname you choose (best be the same). don't use the PTC thing to login.

Unova is barely related to muttland, your regionals are Tauros, Bouffalant, yellow Oricorio, Seviper

Unironically, the Galarian Birds are the worst possible use for the Master Ball

The best use is saving it for last ball in a hundo raid. Having something in your pocket if one of the mons just won't behave and keeps breaking out.
But, lets say that's not your cup of tea. Then theming it to something cool (like the shiny Spirgatito thing) at least gives you a purpose for the ball used. It's cool, unique, and has a reason to use that ball in particular
But hey, maybe theming isn't your thing either. Then hoarding probably is. You are going to collect the Galarian Birds eventually. Having 5 master balls and one of each Galarian Bird is more impressive than 2 and one of each Bird. (Hell, I'd even say 0 Galarian Birds and 5 master balls is more impressive). It's just a matter of time.
Even something like, I dunno, catching a Magikarp at least has a story behind it.

The Galarian Birds do nothing, can't be put into any gym to show off, is already common enough to not be worth showing off in via the buddy system, are terribly useless in raids, and don't fill out the pokedex. I legitimately cannot think of a worse use of the master ball than wasting it on those things.

Works on virtually everything, you just have to wait for the attack animation.
A few Pokémon with annoying attack animations make it harder or close to impossible to perform, but this is pretty limited.
Since shadow Pokémon are hyper-aggressive, they're a prime example of timing your throws mid-attack so your ball connects when the targeting circle re-appears

Finally got a shiny giratina and captured it in a MB like I wanted to do on switch if my arceus shiny hunt didn't burn me out so much. We are so fucking back. Lunala, Ho-oh and maybe the Tepes and I'm done with hunting shiny legendaries in any shape or form. The issue I guess will be the mythicals.. It's absolutely rose tinted glasses, but I do find myself somewhat nostalgic for the days where I was trying to get away with 1 move mons.
You can't just look online what the best mons are, because some mons REALLY need their second move, while others can kinda get away with just spamming one.
Master League was always the way I got to ace rank back then. Psystrike Mewtwo / Iron Head Dialga / Shadow Ball Giratina was the team I used to try and squeak by with just single moves. Dialga and Giratina honestly barely changed when I finally decided to teach them a second move.
Great League and Ultra League were way harder though. My team back then was Feather Dance Pidgeot / Play Rough Azumarill / Superpower Chesnaut for GL, mostly relying on people not knowing what Pidgeot does. My UL team was Psyshock Sylveon / Foul Play Scrafty / Body Slam Snorlax, mostly trying to catch the Giratina spam that was so common back in the day.

Fighting, and bug are pretty uncommon in pvp, fairy is your main threat.
Resisting ghost is pretty big. That's a pretty common damage type. Dark resist is alright. Double resisting psychic is mediocre tho since that type is about as common as bug. But I guess a Malmar or Grumpig will feel sad facing you (look out for their fighting attacks tho)

The bigger issue is that you now lose to the number one ghost (Mimikyu), so if you plan on using dark defensively, you need a second, more dedicated answer to another ghost.
Not saying you can't get away with it; things like Foretress or Tinkaton take on Mimikyu without handling every other ghosts. But if the sole purpose is a ghost answer, you are better off with the bulky normals.

I did Rocket when I was lvl. 78 to speed up the "Beat 30 leaders" task, maybe I'd still do it if shadows weren't completely outclassed these days, but I almost always do hatch because I have over 100 mil XP more than I need, I don't need candy for random shitmons and people occasionally ask me for distance trades so it's nice to be able to hatch multiple Australia/NZ eggs per day with the free incubator.

There really isn't any difference anymore. Before it was a showcase in the bulkiest mons that maxed out around each threshold, but Steranka has powercrept everything so heavily that there's little to no reason to just use the Pokémon with the best movesets/abilities and typings.

I've said it for years at this point, but we're more than overdue for a 3500cp league (Maybe Luxury League?), given we have almost every Pokémon in the game and many of the former top-tier picks for Master Premier can't even compete in that cup anymore because of how big the stat gap is. Either way, I'm not gonna start tanking for lvl. 80 until next season, because hopefully by then Steranka will make the necessary buffs/nerfs to make things not center around the best movesets exclusively.

One problem with a 3500 luxury league is that 3500 is a very awkward CP range where lots of pokémon will fall like 200-500 CP short but Pseudo, Mythicals, and legendaries all crush it. So you'd just have Master league but you have to trade not-luckytrade legendaries down and hope for good IVs to be competitive.
Especially many starters will fall short of the 3500 range.

I think luxury league would have to be like 3000 CP for it to not be annoying Master league. This is also high enough for most of the ultra league top tiers to fall like 300 CP short.

Then again. CP isn't everything I suppose.
Maybe like 3200 would be the best.
Or just a general league restructuring but God please don't do that because then everyone will have to get new teams.

FINALLY. God, that took forever. Been aiming for the shiny Unova bugs for the longest time. Gen 5 was the best gen for bugs, I think. Alola is the only one that rivals it with absolute chads like Vikavolt, Golisopod, and Buzzwole. Unova's sheer numbers are just too good, though. Venipede, Escavalier, Accelgor, Dwebble, my beloved Joltik and Galvantula. I believe the only ones left now are Sewaddle and...Larvesta. God damn it.

the purpose of the gadget is to fuck with your storage and make sure you miss all the good spin tasks, so it will never function when the app is closed. if you are close to full storage it will magically be more active to rape your bag and pokemon storage. if you are near a place with a ton of trash spawns and garbage spin tasks it will magically be more active too. if you try to catch it not being active by tabbing back in it will delete all the mon on screen and say that most got away. if you are actively discarding tasks it will take the cue to spin all the trash research in the vicinity too to make sure you miss out and have to wait 5 minutes for the good task spot to not be on cooldown.

I clocked White Stripe Basculin as a weird release. I stored as many as I could to distribute to my coworkers during lucky trades, because I felt something was off.
Not that they're useful right now. And when Basculegion gets released, no shot its still going to be locked away.
I wouldn't sweat it right now. Once it gets the evolution it'll be coming back.
