>natures>marks>characteristicsbros... which one does truly represent the personality/behaviour of a pokemon?
>>59520362None, Gamefreak is lazy and will outsource it towards the player.
>>59520362pronouns
combination of nature and characteristic. marks are useless fluff designed to trick autismfags into soft resetting a few more times to appease their vanity. the pokémon equivalent of wearing a happy face button on your shirt and thinking it disguises your perpetually pissed-off resting expression
>>59520362Both Nature and Characteristic do. The Mark is just a physical marking on the Pokémon's body.

>>59520362All the three, plus the Dex entry and the Japanese name of all the Abilities that the species can have.
>>59520362The Mark is a representation of current time of day, current weather, current behavior, it is how they were at the moment they spawn in/get caught. Your Brave Lucario who is Proud of his Power was acting Pompous when he was caught, was being Sociable when he was caught, was Peckish at lunchtime, was Frolicking in the Snow when he was caught on a mountain top, was Sodden when he was caught during a rainstorm, Drifted in on the Mist when you flew along the border of the Kitakami map to have an otherwise impossible weather effect influence nearby spawns, etc.

>>59520362The thing about this world is that the rules are dictated via code. Both natures and characteristics have never been, by code, ever tied to any sort of personality or behaviors that are visible that Pokemon can express. They had a chance in Poke Amie, Poke Pelago, the Let's Go mechanic in gen 9, the campus, pretty much any place that you get to interact with your Pokemon that isn't battling but this simply isn't something that ever comes into play. The only thing that they ever did with this system outside of it being telling of stats and favorite flavors for condition raising was make one battle facility where natures dictated the moves a Pokemon would use on its own for Emerald and the behaviors a Pokemon would exhibit in My Pokemon Ranch. Characteristics are literally shortcuts to see what your best IV stat is, that's it as far as I am aware.
