Not necessarily talking about sex. What's currently the best in the series for people who want to get as close as possible to their wards?I feel like one of the biggest problems with Pokemon games is the disparity between how you're introduced and how they play. This is supposedly a world where humans and Pokemon have a codependent, symbiotic relationship, and that your pokemon are closer to treasured companions that deserve equal respect rather than just glorified pets. And yet mechanically, they're just tools. Weapons. The whole series is just glorified cockfighting. Is there a game out there which provides the illusion of an intelligent animal companion?Pic somewhat related: I want to fuck her.
Sapphire Safari, Breeders of the Nephelym, Spirit Valley (2D turn based on battler) those are the main ones I think
>>595372932D turn based mon battler*
>>59537293These are all porn games, no? Do any of them offer a fleshed-out companion system for any individual creature, or are they more quantity-over-quality?
>>59537279for me it's pokopiathe pokemon definitely don't have an insane amount of depth or character, but there's a lot thereand building homes for them and moving them around and shipping them together and watching them interact is a lot of fun to me, i get to create all these little scenarios that fill in the gaps and make them more real
>>59537306Spirit Valley is very Pokemon adjacent. Sapphire Safari is more like Pokemon snap so no companions unless you count the sexo. Breeders is more sandboxy and whatever you make of it. I don't think there's anything like LGPE where you have a fixed primary partner. Palworld is probably the closest to what you want you can pick your mons, and pet them, feed them, interact with them, watch them do stuff, and they have unique actions eg: pick up foxparks and use him as a flamethrower. Jump into grizzbolts back and have him fire a minigun. Various pals have different riding mechanics, flying pals are not the only ones to ride, various other kinds of interesting ways to ride them.Maybe Pokopia? Haven't looked into it that much since Im not interested in a switch 2
>>59537279Absolutely nothing in the main series. Game freak hates pokemon as a series and the only Pokemon they care about are the shillmons, KANTOOOOOmons, and mega saiyans and add an asterisk next to mega saiyans since they aren’t all made equal, no in hell Skibidigatr matters.
>>59537313Uh-oh, you said the word. I have played that game, and whilst it's definitely got a lot going for it in the animations department, unfortunately it's almost as bad as Pokemon where they're just tools for fighting. You can pet them and hand feed them, and they'll make a happy face at you, then go back to standing still and staring at you. It does at least have modding support so there is the potential that community-produced content of this type may be created at some point, just like there's a possibility that I may win the lotto if I keep playing it.Pokopia looks very much like Animal Crossing where making shit happen falls down to you, but then your reward is to watch other little characters go about their business.I suspect the porn games also focus on exactly that rather than providing a fleshed-out intelligent animal companion.I suppose there's a gap in the market for something like this, hey? A Pokemon-adjacent game where you can actually interact and build a bond with the Mon that you've chosen.
>>59537322There's nothing narrative driven between you and a partner afaik. Palworld has the most variety of interactions with your creature. It sounds like you want a game I imagined in my head where's it's just you and mostly your one mon. There's a reason it's only imaginary I suppose
>>59537322>>59537331The closest I can think of that's actually meaningful is Wrath of The Righteous and romancing Arushulae
>>59537331>Palworld has the most variety of interactions with your creature. That is... very unfortunate, because it has so little. I suppose one can hope for the future, as it hasn't ceased development; but it's a very bleak-looking future indeed...Thank you anyway, anons.
>>59537338Nothing else comes close right? Like think of all the different riding mechanics and partner abilities. You want something more narrowed down than picking from hundreds of creatures. What you probably want is a western style RPG (non modern audience) with voice acting, narrative driven intimate adventure human X furry or human X monster girl with romance, afaik doesn't exist yet. You can try your luck with JRPG visual novels but they're kinda shit and boring imho.
>>59537279Well... there is Pokemon amie added in gen 6. That was a start. Unfortunately I COULD NOT rub the pussy of my Braixen, so Im giving it a 0/10I could pet my furret though, so its a 10/10 anyway
PMD
>>59538256pokemon amie is peak
>>59537279>Pic somewhat related: I want to fuck her.i wonder why
>>59538392>>59538256Pokemon Amie was the minigame added in X/Y right? It's been a LONG time but I remember that being pretty damn awesome. For the first time, just being able to pet and feed them was great. It's just a single baby step, you know? Nowhere near enough. And they removed it later anyway...It's crazy. Like, I'm not even talking full-on narrative or relationship with some kind of drama tacked on, but there just doesn't seem to be a game out there that will let you be "friends" with the creatures that you keep at all.Closest I can think of is the Monster Rancher games. I only played 1 and 2, but they were really, really good, and there was a few more ways to interact with your monsters, but all interpretation was done via a middleman (your assistant) and there was no real way to just shoot the shit with your friend.Let alone put your penis in it.
>>59539206It's actually not even because of the sexy humanoid figure - although that certainly helps - but primarily because Meowscarada is intelligent bordering on humanlike and because I just finished Scarlet with her as my starter. And all I wanted was to throw everything into the sunset, take my Meowscarada and live on a farm together in the middle of nowhere. Maybe put 50 Sprigatitos in her, too.
>>59539832I'm literally writing a short smutfic about a trainer and his Meowscarada who get a cottage with a vegetable garden in west area 1(the grass and windmill place). Been fantasizing about this shit since I finished Violet more than a year ago. I'll probably post it in the Fanfic thread once I'm done.
>>59539826It feels weird suggesting a mobile app but it’s legitimate seems to fit the most what you’s want. Pokemon go has a buddy option that lets you pet, feed, and have your Pokemon out of the it’s ball to follow you around. You can also earn hearts for doing various things with your pokemon and earn a best buddy ribbon. Pokemon even give you gifts and there’s a permanent record of said gifts on that Pokémon’s profile.
>>59539863Post it in whatever grass cat thread is live at the time too
>>59537279Palworld is probably the closest since you can interact with them a bit and use them for more than just fighting. Maybe digimon world 1 if you're not a fan of survival games. For actual pokemon IP there is no game which let's you do anything even remotely close to what you're describing except like... hey you pikachu or something.
>>59539863I will look out for that fic. I'm greatly anticipating it!
>>59539866I'm desperate enough that I might look into this. I never really got into Pokemon Go because of how lacklustre it was on release (of couse, the social aspects were awesome, it just wasn't that great of a game) but hearing this hits me with nostalgia and I might just try that. I hope it's not like a friggin' gacha now or demands you step through a high paywall.
>>59539900palworld:>You can sleep with your pals!meager but i'll take it
>>59539900You'd think with all the creature-catcher/creature-raiser games out there, the basic idea of being able to use them for more than just fighting would be a given! Makes me think there's resource limitations involved.
>>59539912It's great, but they really need to update sleeping animations because only a select few pals have unique animations for the player; most of them have the same sleeping animation, just pivoted on a different axis to face the player.
>>59539911There were some bullshit price increases a while agoincluding raid passes but overall Go is extremely generous for a mobile game, you can still earn coins at gyms so being Free to play is very feasible. Also if you were disappointed about the game play on release You’ll be happy to know that they’ve added a lot of new features and game play modes since then. And the social aspects as just as strong (there’s even remote trading for best friends). The game is also very generous to new/returning players If you do decide to to check it out My Referral code: 46KGWGB6PMy Friend code: 935949060381
>>59539913Pokémon at least had contests and pokeathon in the DS era, but the contests were completely gutted in BDSM ans pokeathlon is gone forever. Since Home is never going to have battles due to Champions existing, Home could have been an opportunity to have some mini-games, petting mechanic, or someway of interacting with Pokemon but game freak is a SMALL INDIE COMPANY. So you’ll just have to UNDERSTAND
>>59537293Uh... I applaud at a game that does not take itself seriously for the sake of humour but I got an instant "what the fuck did I just search for."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71QrPbamNZc
>>59537279Sounds like it is time to delve into rom hacks or RPGMaker, but games of that nature tend to be poorly made without much to offer under the appearances. The most elaborated one that comes to mind with that description is Monster Mind, it has some spicy scenes but with a cute artstyle and it is mainly a puzzle game. Not a lazy one.
https://youtu.be/4yg-_vbC0PQ?si=H2y001fTwJeUzJiVHeres a companion based game might be worth looking into
>>59542917I remember that game, afaik it's not humor or irony it's some fringe furry fetishists behind it
>>59539832>it grew on meEugh.
>>59537293Spirit Valley is shit, the dev crapped it out as a side project and then left it feeling really unfinished.
