>>59543452Nah, it was a smart decision and probably what helped Pokemania in the first place. How else do you get kids to remember the names of 150 creatures with their short attention spans? It's not an issue with the games, because the names of the creatures are always in your face whenever they're on screen so it acts like a flashcard. But on the TV there is no such visual aid, so the best way is to have the Pokemon say its own name as many times as you can have it organically do so in the span of 20 minutes showcasing it every Saturday morning. Let the kids annoy the fuck out of their parents too, so even the parents know what toys to purchase when shopping for their brat.
