It tries to be tryhard competitive and force you to do smogon bullshit tactics that take all the joy out of the game but it's nowhere near as annoying and cunty as Radical Reddit is with its difficulty.>How is it from a gameplay/enjoyment perspective?Gameplay wise it's above average, if you ever get stuck because the bosses are bullshit you can apparently look up one-hit KO cheats for gameshark and those won't trigger the bad ending, or you can wait until the game's released in a couple years with the easy mode enabled. Overall it's still one of the best pokemon rom hacks out there, a lot of effort has been put into it and it shows.
Since people aren't actually responding to OP: Clover is still the best romhack even after over 6 years of its full release with only real complaints of it being that early on you can really tell it used to be a skin for firered and that it might be too hard for people. These are very small gripes but people who sperg out about fakemon will hate it as well. Is the dialogue outdated? yeah but it's supposed to be a time capsule. No other romhack replicates the route design and side quests and balance that clover has.
