it's weird seeing absol get a new mega. i remember being so happy discovering the mega in x and y. I thought game freak would continue on the original idea of giving weaker pokemon stronger forms to compete in the powercreep. sure there was some stupid decisions like mega garchomp but megas overall increased the usability of most weaker mons. then oras came out and i heard of the primal reversions, giving even more psudeos mega forms and mega rayquaza, and that was the time i lost interest. x and y are the last games i ever played because they felt the most balanced, the first few megas were amazing. im not sure how game freak fucked it up by adding unnecessary megas to pokemon that didnt need them. didnt care about sun and moon either because z moves were just a lamer version of megas, on top of not liking a lot of pokemon that were introduced anyway
