>tfw loved Pokémon since I was a kid but randomly stopped caring about it from 2013 to 2026
>already played 160 hours in August alone

so how can I prevent loss of interest again? its almost scary how fast it happened and I just jumped to other hobbies. why?

borts seem to have this thing where XY's design choices trigger them immensely

what was a palate cleanser for everyone else is anathema to them

I don't understand, why do you feel you need to force yourself to stay interested in it? If you get bored of it, you get bored of it; it's not a skill you're trying to get better at and it's not your job, so it's not a problem if you wanna take a break. Just stop playing when you lose interest, and come back to it when it seems interesting again. Trying to "prevent loss of interest" seems like a good way to burn out even faster.
