Reading twitter opinions from people who don't actually watch the series is such a headache.People have fully convinced themselves that PM2023 has bad animation so every single clip is full of people complaining about how terrible the animation is and how good it was during Ash's era.I feel like most people only remember the very few super great sakuga moments from the very end of their respective series and forget that most of the anime Ash's anime looked the same as Horizons.Saw people shitting on the scene of Miraidon and Koraidon battling, but in any previous series that would've been seen as perfectly acceptable animation.
