If you could give a Pokémon an Orrean Form, which would you give one to?I’m thinking of a Fighting/Dark Orrean Lucario themed after the Coyote from various Native American myths. One of its abilities will be Prankster to boot.
orre has been completely decanonized out of existence, now permanently.i hate it but it is done now
>>59569441was it ever a part of anything other than the GC games? actually mentioned btw not headcanon
>>59569458pretty much never referenced anywhere except in a short manga
>>59569466fucked up these guys never even made it into the gacha game
>>59569252Canonically, Orre is home to only a small population of native Pokémon, with Ho-Oh, Lugia, Celebi, the Legendary Birds, and the Legendary Beasts occupying an ambiguous status—akin more to migratory deities. The rest of the Pokémon are brought in by travelers, through very expensive imports, or via illegal black-market trafficking.
>>59569252Turning the most sovlful games in the series into modern day gimmick slop completely misses the point.
>>59569491Along those lines, and considering that Orre is a vast desert region with few predators but scarce resources, it seems plausible that a Phanpy in this region could naturally evolve into the Great Tusk form—perhaps with only one Donphan taking on this form to protect the group as they roll along in search of oases.
>>59569519Imagine a desert where Zubat or Giglar evolved into deadly terrestrial predators, Orre would be perfect for new paradoxes
>>59569550
>>59569554
>>59569491An Aron that evolved outside of caves and uses the sun as biological fuel, rather than simply devouring metals.
>>59569491The Hoppip, not having competition against other grass Pokémon, diversified and began to occupy empty niches, acquiring forms very similar to other Pokémon, the phenomenon of evolutionary convergence.
>>59569491Quagsire evolved into the apex predator of an intricate labyrinth of underground waters that caused it to lose its sight but sharpened its other senses, it will eat anything including its own species. Some of those tunnels are connected to the oases; that would explain the stories told by the natives about people who go looking for water at night and never return.
>>59569491To survive in the desert, Trapinch resorted to forming colonies, shifting from solitary hunting habits to a colony structure with well-defined social castes—workers, scouts, warriors, and breeders—all led by a gigantic, wingless Queen.
>>59569491Has the games ever confirmed it?
>>59569695Yes, the sequel specifies that they are wild Pokémon from the region. However, they can only be found at certain spots by leaving out bait.
>>59569252>I’m thinking of a Fighting/Dark Orrean LucariokekAmazing how only /co/mblr surpasses /vp/ in terms of deviantart-tier posts.I'm thinking of a True Dark demon Tyranitar by the way.
>>59569695Larvitar, Meditite, and Shuckle are sometimes included, but it is not clear if they are local Pokemon or were purchased. And we have the case of Munchlax and Bonsly, which are feral Pokémon that escaped from their trainer.
>>59569252Burgerlax. Snorlax but he's two feet taller, weights 3000 pounds, and has a too small t-shirt and sweatpants, and calls you a tranny for his cry
>>59569659>stories told by the natives
If Orre were to happen today, would Vullaby, Sandile, and Maractus be found in it?
>>59569252>>59569466Annual reminder that Cyclizar used to roam freely across Orre, but were hunted down and turned into wine by the settlers, disrupting the entire ecosystem.
>>59569252JewtwoIt has a doubles exclusive move that mind controls one of the enemy pokemon, making it controlled by Jewtwo. Its ability makes it one hit KO any pokemon that aren't fully evolved, because it rapes them, and when you white out against it, it takes all your money
If you could only have wild Pokémon in certain spots like in the original, but still include Orrean Forms, how would you implement it?
>>59569775Salsa!
>>59569746Kino
>>59569805Was that an actual fangame?
>>59569800Add just a few spots to help the player, but not to the point of breaking the "Pokemon Steal" theme of the game, so I would only add 3-4 additional Pokespots with 3 different Pokémon each, a pokespot in a volcano cave for Pokemon fire, dragon, and poison, a pokespot in the waterfall for water, fairy, and grass pokemon, a pokespot in a snowy forest on a mountain for ice, flying, and normal Pokemon, finally a pokespot in a ghost town for ghost pokemon and other more urban pokemon such as humanoid pokemon or objectmons.Which Pokemon to choose, that would be left to someone who knows more about balancing, for me I would only put those that looked good in a Wild West cliche like a Lycanroc in the ice pokespot or an Ursaluna in the waterfall hunting Baskulin, an Ekans hiding in an abandoned house, a Mandibuzz flying over the corpse of a Bouffalant. I can even imagine uncatchable Pokemon Titans functioning as zone bosses.
>>59569849>Ursaluna in the waterfall hunting Baskulinalmost
Hoothoot/Noctowl based on burrowing owls
>>59569775I would love an updated third game.
>>59569861imagine
>>59569458Not by name, but Pokémon transferred from those games are referred to as coming from a distant land in the summary screen. So it definitely exists, it's just very far away. It takes about a half a day to get there.
