Here we discuss lore and worldbuilding shown in the Pokémon franchise
>>59574804We have to do it in gamefreak's place lol
>>59574806They give us the tools, we build Pokémon's world
Dig Dug is a popular game in Sinnoh.
>>59574804Pokémon is a confirmed multiverse. Wonder what the verses are like
>>59575020Only in the sense Zelda is a multiverse, as in GF does not give a fuck about continuity.
>>59575020Every save file is a separate universe. These universes seem to be able to communicate to some extent.
Well that ended quickly as expected.
>>59575020Well we see some of this with the Ultra Beast areas for instance. We also see this with the remakes and different versions. Basically every game is a separate pocket universe, and then there are others from there. So in reality there is probably a universe where Lt. Surge is Champion of Kanto and Kanto is a wasteland of voltorb craters for instance. Basically, whatever you say as far as headcanon goes, it probably exists in some universe. It's a bullshit way to write around things. >>59575088Zelda isn't a multiverse, it just has multiple timelines due to divine artifacts splitting it. Multiverse usually incorporates that there are infinite variants, not a finite amount.
>>59575298>Multiverse usually incorporates that there are infinite variants, not a finite amount. Not necesarilly. Then again you really do seem to have no clue what you're talking about.
>>59575340He's not entirely wrong. Multiverse as a concept only exists because of quantum-mechanics. Meaning every choice and possible outcome creates an alternate reality/timeline, it's how we get to fine-tuning theory, where if there are an infinite number of potential outcomes, then one of them is bound to work, given our universe's perfectly functioning laws. Pokemon is confirmed a multiverse, therefore there are an infinite number of realities for every possible outcome that could exist, he is also correct about Zelda not being a multiverse, as there are not an infinite number of realities based on every possible outcome, there are 3, and at absolute most there are 7, given the events of Skyward Sword, Oracle of Ages, and the Hyrule Warriors games, with OoA having 2 branches specifically. However yes, you are right in the literal definition of the language being used as multi implies more than one, hence anything two or greater is a multiverse. But the general public and quantum science behind it implies that there are infinite variations.

Interesting
Hmm
>>59575358>Multiverse as a concept only exists because of quantum-mechanics. Meaning every choice and possible outcome creates an alternate reality/timelineFiction doesn't work the same way as reality.> Pokemon is confirmed a multiverseYes, meaning there's more than one universe.
Remember when Sinnoh lore said pokemon and humans were equals and were able to get married. Haha, wouldn't that be funny to marry your pokemon. Like, haha, Lopunny Is in Sinnoh too and looks like a girl, but I wouldn't do it. Unless...
So which is canonically taller, Mt Silver or Mt Coronet? In game Mt Coronet is obviously taller than Mt Silver, but I don't know if that's hard enough evidence. Mt Silver is the PokeJapan equivalent of Mt Fuji which is Japan's tallest mountain, and before gen 2 when Mt Fuji was referenced in gen 1 it was as tall as the real life mountain, but that doesn't mean Mt Silver is the same height.
>>59577430While Pokémon canon doesn't give official heights, Pokémon fans have used real-world geography, in-game layouts, and lore to theorize that Mt. Coronet is significantly taller than Mt. Silver.Mt. Coronet is canonically the origin point of the entire Pokémon universe. According to Sinnoh myths, it is the literal pillar that connects the earthly world to the realm of the gods (Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia). A mountain serving as a physical stairway to a divine, heavenly dimension implies an altitude far grander than a standard regional peak like Mt. Silver.
>>59574804I lovevthe mythology
>>59577291
Mystery Dungeon is connected to the mainline through the existence of the Coronet Rock evolution item.
>>59577464>applying powerscalling logic to landscapes
>>59575358Multiverse is why two versions exist; in Red, Vulpixs are extinct in the wild, while in Blue Glowlithe never came to drive them out.
>>59574804Post the entirety of the Aus lore used for PLA: NOW!
>>59577464Shinnoh/Hisui is meant to be the land of beginnings of the Pokémon universe as a whole, where Aus sent its children to watch over all of creations.
>>59577582>Before everything, there's an egg, trapped in the Void.>In a burst of light, the Original One broke out.>The remains attempted to reimprison the original one; only for them to become the elements for them to command.>From the chest of the Original One, came three beings.>One pumps time, other breath space.>From their unity, matter came into being.>Along with matter, came the darkness that threatens to destroy it.>Thus, the raging third imprisoned the darkness within itself.>From the mind of the Original One, came three beings.>One express emotion, the other inspires willpower, the last shared wisdom.>Through their harmony, spirit came into being. >Through the fusion of spirit and matter, heaven, earth, and the life within them, came into being.>Finally, the Original One gifts the elements it had commanded to all life of the heaven and earth.>With creation complete, the children of the Original One now maintain their duties.>The first two retreats in their sanctums to maintain matter,>The raging third controls the darkness from within their confinement,>The last three send their fragments to watch over the life of the earth.>The Original One now sleeps within its domain.>Only one who mastered spirit, matter, and darkness, can face the Original One.
>>59574804>>59577582Wish I had saved all the teleleaks pics. Those leaks were fun. The first batch was at least.
>>59578554Especially the smut
>>59577464>A mountain serving as a physical stairway to a divine, heavenly dimension implies an altitude far grander than a standard regional peak like Mt. SilverNot sure if that's a good argument. Mt Coronet isn't the tallest mountain in the Pokemon world. Emerald's Delibird dex entry mentions Mt Everest and after they started removing all references to real life locations it was replaces with the world's highest mountain in ORAS. I doubt whatever the lore of the Pokemon equivalent of Mt Everest ends up being will match the creation of everything.
>>59579488Shinnoh was meant to be the land of beginnings with Coronet being the gateway to the gods.
>>59580145That doesn't mean it has to be the highest mountain in PokeJapan or the world.
>>59577809Correction, the raging third is the blood of the Original one that was drawn by the Titans' assault; it defeated them in retaliation and were imprisoned out of fear of its destructive nature. Giratina's destruction incarnate.
>>59580202>>59577809>>59577582>Giratina: Wounds of the Original One. Avatar of Destruction.>Dialuga: Heart of the Original One. Avatar of Time.>Palkia: Lungs of the Original One. Avatar of Space.>Uxie: Eyes of the Original One. Avatar of Wisdom.>Mespirit: Mouth of the Original One. Avatar of Emotion.>Azelf: Ears of the Original One. Avatar of Willpower.>Arceus: Fragment of the Original One; who only appears to those who cherish the creation that it brought forth.
>>59574804Kek what worldbuilding?
>>59581324It's not like Gamefreak cares about staying consistent. You gotta pick and choose.
