>>59574971All I know is that stores here almost never stocked starter decks. I maybe vaguely remember a Charizard theme deck from somewhere in gen 1, but it must be a false memory, as I only ever got a Team Aqua deck from the EX era.
What's your rarest card? As in, number of said card printed.
>>59574971>OrangeI do miss the days of TCG online theme deck mode. Well, before the XY water deck came out and FUCKED the format beyond repair.
>>59575140I mean, I have one of these in storage somewhere.
>>59575145I wonder what happened to the giant one
>>59575140How do you know such print numbers? My guess, for my part, would either be the two you just posted or the Fan Club Porygon
>>59575213There are rough estimates made on other forums based on graded population, size of promo event, magazine print number etc. For the most rare it becomes easy because they are usually awarded to just a few as prizes for various stuff. Not including error cards.
>>59575138Theme decks were thing during Base Set, parents would buy them for their kids. After Base Set everyone traded for what they want/need, ripped booster packs or bought singles.I'm one of the lucky kids whose parents bought all 4 of the original theme decks (Zap, Blackout, Overgrowth and Brushfire). I then wasted my childhood thematically improving these decks (there was a list inside the box on how to improve it but I can't find a photo of it online) while the other kids either don't know how to play or went low IQ Haymaker decks.I walked the neighbors' dogs and did IRL short fetch quests around town and bought the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge theme decks as well.
>>59575140Probably something like this for me. Only 5000 of these cards were printed and distributed as a part of a Japanese lottery. I have a few other japanese promos, but I don't think they come close to the scarcity of this card. This card is from the second round of lotteries for the Shiny Legends pokemon. The first round (feature suicine and few others) were even rarer at only 1000 copies printed.Regardless, Deoxys is a big favourite of mine.
>>59575230What are some of the rarer WOTC-era cards (could be Japanese promos — as I imagine most are — I just mean from the 90s to 2003ish) that aren’t quite literally limited to a number you could count on your hands? I know the Pokemon Snap cards are quite rare, same with the university Magikarp, the child/parent kangaskhan, etc.
>>59575246Extremely cool shiny Deoxys promo, anon.
>>59575311coomer Grimer and OG Misty's Tears
>>59575376>セットカード>レア???
BW, XY era reverse holos look nice
When I was a kid I had a pretty good collection, unfortunately when I was heading to middle school I threw away my collection, thinking that I was too grown up for pokemon. They were mostly EX and some base. Now I am an old man and I am thinking about getting some cards. On amazon I see a lot of "pitch black", "scarlet and violent", and "chaos rising" (mega evolution era??). Should I get these, or an earlier era?
>>59575436collect whatever interests you. that's it.there are sites like "pokecollector" (lists all cards in all sets), Pkmncards.com (use syntax to filter what you want), browse singles and buy what catches your eye
>>59575436In my experience, I’ve found it most rewarding to rebuild my childhood collection. The new slop just doesn’t scratch the itch and leaves me feeling totally hollow
>>59575520If you're trying to rebuild your childhood collection after 2020 your wallet is fucked.Vintage prices have skyrocketed to absurdity they make modern cards look cheap.
>>59575382For gaijins they're kinda rare, especially for ones in good condition now a days.
>>59575436>EX>middle school You're like mid to late 20. You zoomers have such a fucked image of age.
>>59575382They're the first exclusive cards bought en masse by gaijins the moment they step foot in Japan.Mandarake, all those cards shops in Akihabara and Ikebukuro, etc.
Is buying cards packs, blisters, and "special' products still hard for you guys? It has gotten slightly better for me but it's nowhere how it was in early 2024. Buying in the pandemic was easier.
>>59575246Cool hs deoxys. I recognise the art from an eng set or something but didn't know the jp version was so rare.
>>59575311all of the pokemon snap comp cards are extremely limited. 10-20 copies of each given to the winners only.
>>59575525>>59575533Whatever the case, they’re set cards, and not even rares (as far as rarity symbols are concerned). I’m asking about cards with low print numbers, something more like the Fan Club promos
>>59575565never mind, i'm retarded
hey guys is the money from scalping good?My local corner store has a full shelf o' 'mon cards
>>59575562Thanks anon! The English ones you recognize are from the set Call of Legends, which was a special set that came at the end of the HGSS era. Japan didn't have this set (kinda like the Legendary Collection from years prior), but they did have a special lottery for the Shiny cards mentioned in my previous post. Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-oh, and Lugia were limited to 1000 copies each. Then later another drawing was held for the second set, and 5000 copies of each Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, and Deoxys were released.Pic related: I have a couple of the English shiny cards, too.
>>59575530I know, I even get a bad back sometimes
>>59575246That is pretty cool. Is it really that limited? I would expect a higher market price but 2-14k is still high. How did you get it?
>>59575140I'm not sure how to quantify rarest. By graded pop numbers, I guess this Murkrow would be one of mine though I'm not actually sure if it would be considered rare.
>>59575558I always prefer getting bundles that come wtih promo cards because at least I know I'm getting something out of it.
>>59575589>My local corner store has a full shelf o' 'mon cardsOnly if they're Ascended Heroes, Phantasmal Flames or Destined Rivals.
>>59575697Thanks anon. All the written records I can find on these cards state that they are that rare, yes. Two waves of lotteries: >First wave had 1000 copies of each Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-oh, and Lugia.>Second wave had 5000 copies of each Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, and DeoxysAs for their value, I think it's just because they aren't that known/desired yet compared to the other main chase cards from other eras. In English, the Call of Legend Shiny cards are more rare than Gold Stars -- due to low print runs and CoL being a special set and not a main set. But since the Shiny Legend cards are not as desired right now, their price is no where near the price of the Gold Stars. The Japanese SL cards are many times more rare than the english counterparts, but are still just waiting for their demand too rise. Supply is super low, just not that many people care for them yet. Same thing with many of the big chase cards from the gen4 era of cards. Eventually they'll skyrocket like everything else, though. As for how I got the Deoxys card, I just won it at auction a couple years back for like ~$100, lololol. I love Deoxys, and so I'll try and grab any copies of its cards that I can.
Please stop posting niche literal who cards, and only post youtube thumbnail $ ding cards inside PSA slabs from now on, thanks.
>>59575818>Please stop posting niche literal who cardsI don't. I only post shiny RR and higher cards.
>>59575818Fug off.
how much is your collectr portfolio?
Shame there isn't a hobby board for just collecting things. But it is crabsinabucketchan, where one upping is thought to be a good thing.
>>59574971This one was my jam
>>59575818>>59575140Probably these two. Torchic and the rest of the WB set are ~5000 each, and the eevee wouldn't be more than 1000.
>>59575140It is kind of cheating since it is a specific stamped card, but I would say this Worlds promo card I bought off of some kid that placed pretty high in the tournament and had one to spare. There wasn't anything else but the TCG at the time and spread off three age divisions, there should only be about a little over 100 of these carss given out.
>>59575705It was a magazine release, so probably pretty well printed. Pretty obscure (and cool) card nonetheless. I can’t recall, is it glossy or no?
>>59576317It's not. I think only the only old promos that were glossy were the Coro Coro ones.
My first card please rate. I know I overpaid, but I love it.They opened a weeb store at the mall and it was kind of on impulse.
>>59576534>I know I overpaid, but I love it.How much? That card is a playable, how did you even manage to overpay?
>>59576534I pulled one of these when I opened the packs it's pretty nice

I collect ukiyoe-e, and I’m fond of Hiroshige, so I still don’t really know why I didn’t. hi bros, i saw this pic, obviously its about the wow collection but you can notice he has a hisuan typhlosion at the top there, it's graded, obviously has it on displayif i wanted to display a card, and it wasn't graded, just in a toploader and on a stand or something, would that be cool or lame? feels like only graded cards would get that level of respect from the average non-collector do any of you display your cards similar to this? if yes any advice would be appreciated
>>59579514Get a magnet loader

>>59579407Holy friends
>>59579514a non-collector will not give a fuck if it's a slab or a magnet loaderthey won't even notice the difference and either won't think about it at all or think lesser of you for collecting children's toys.
>>59579514Graded moderns are really astounding. This typhlosion is a $1-3 card, but if you encase it in plastic, telling you what you already know about it (it’s modern and hence, practically by definition, pack fresh) suddenly it’s a $20 card. Or if it’s a 10, it’s now $75. Who pays 1) to have this sort of bulk graded, or 2) a ludicrous 550-2600% markup for graded modern bulk? Oh what a world, what a world!
>>59579514Collection displays are to be set up how to ensure you enjoy looking at it. What kind of weak willed loser sets their displays up so that other people can enjoy them?
Wow these SR...suck dick. I wanted a cool illustration of Mega Malamar. Not this ugly 3D slop

Will they ever bring the chinese cubone SR to english?
>>59580422Very unlikely. At best, it might get released in the Thai or Indonesian sets, like the Lisia card.

>>59581031I only like Pikachu from that set because he still has his white tummy design. It's just so cute, dunno why they decided to drop it.
>>59581031>I see them like those shitty ass topps cardsThey basically are only Japanese. The TCG legitimizes the cards, even if no one plays it.

>>59575140masaki alakazam probably
>>59581540Based dunsparce enjoyer. Good god, though, I didn’t realize Skyridge commons could sell for 50 bucks. Beyond fucked
>>59581646No one cared about Skyridge/Aquapolis/E-reader shitThey were also the least printed out of all WOTC sets, there's more Black Star Promos and Southern Islands out there
>>59581653I know the e-readers were printed far less, but $50 ($70 for some) commons seems ludicrous.
>>59581660In a parallel universe, TPCi opens up multiple new factories whose job is to print Base Set-Sword/Shield cards to the ground while their main production line focuses on SV and present day setsSame old cards, no present year or special markings, indistinguishable to near mint cards
>>59581660they were very cheap for nearly two decades. Shoulda coulda woulda
>>59581694Mercifully, I own pretty well all the e-reader cards I want. Should’ve bought the charmeleon in reverse, but it’s not one of my favourites anyway.

>buy packs for a ~1/7 chance of RR or higher>buy bundles just for the promo cardsIt ain't an easy life.
>>59582488I hope they learned their lesson and never do simultaneous releases again. Westoids dont deserve nice things.
>>59582875I hope they do simultaneous releases for every set, so Americans will cannibalize their English stash first, instead of draining the jap release and then also the eng release.
>>59582875>>59582911I just wish people would control themselves. This insatiable lust for cards that drives all this behavior is revolting.
>>59582875I don't think it matters in this case, that shit got leaked 2+ months in advance. They just have to actually sue the whatnot subhumans
These meowth IRs are CUTE
>>59579409>hey anon, I let your little cousins play with your porkeymon cards whilst you were at college, I knew you wouldn’t mind since they’re for kids
>>59582875Simultaneous release is great, TPCi just needs to bring the full wrath of Nintendo on leakers and sellers. The moment faggots get 10+ year prison sentences is the moment leaking stops. It worked for the hacking scene and the fag who leaked the Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokemon.Firing half or all of the factory workers also helps.

>>59584306>There is for vintage.>But it's still soulless to do so, regardless.Go look at what a raw NM Unlimited Blaines Charizard is selling vs a PSA 8. It's like barely $100 and the grading will cost you $70.
Grading is for low IQ subhumansReal chads double sleeve + toploader + toploader binder; double sleeve + magnetic case only is also acceptable
Complain about grading all you want. But every single person who bought and held vintage/mid era slabs from grades 8-10 made life changing money.
>>59584160Depends how much they can print the set. I imagine a full set of Pikachus could easily be $100. I doubt there will be any uneven distribution in packs, but some versions are bound to be more popular than others. Even if there's one guaranteed in every pack, that's a minimum of 30 packs for a full set.
>the 30th classic collection can only be found as a single pack in the $180 MSRP UPC>everything else you can find in other 30th anniversary productsZzzzzz
*ahem*NEVER GRADE*cums away*
>>59584431why would I care what a (((grading company)))) thinks about my cards?
>>59584402The pack in the UPC guarantees 3 hits, its not the only way to get them.
>>59584402We've known the construction of the packs for months, stop being retarded. It's 1 Pikachu, 3 main set cards then the rare which can be any of the secret rares, illustration rares or classic collection.
>>59584431>>59584435truth nuke!
>>59584135lmao get fuckedThe stamps are great and make the set what it is. It could mayyyyybe be slightly smaller. But there should be a stamp there. And the pikachu stamp the west gets is better than the numbered stamp that japan gets.Cope and seethe.
>>59584393>it's all about the money!Again, soulless.
I sometimes feel like this hobby isn't for me. I feel like communities obsessively talk about opening packs, like it's a life necessity to spend at least MSRP cause they HAVE to open packs and they will spam F5 on a website for hours just to get a chance to get a box that they will open and 90% of the times be disappointed. And then everyone seems to talk about grading and I just see it as the most retarded waste of money ever. Like you are hyped to throw your money at some third party companies that even charge extra for certain cards when they get a certain grade, and people are fine with this. I don't get the appeal.
>>59584933It's a gambling addiction
Even though I don't like Umbreon, the 30th anniversary card with the fireworks looks great. Shame it's gonna be like 900 dollars.
>>59584990it's a promo so it won't be that expensive
>>59584933Having this attitude is money saving. I also just buy singles I like the look of, opening packs is just gambling and grading feels like a scam. However sometimes lower graded cards are much cheaper, so it’s nice to get them for my collection binder and destroy the cursed slab with a bottle opener lol
>>59584135It is pretty big and stupid looking, definitely makes the really nice cards like the IRs look goofy.
>>59583135good!
>>59584933The cards I kept from childhood weren't very rare or had many fakes so they only hold sentimental value. Only had one which fetched 4 figs. So it doesn't really matter to me whether I buy cards and get them graded and sell one day, those are not memorable to me in the slightest. They either serve nice art or make money, but nothing more than a transactional relationship with them.
Have two zygarde boxes tomorrow, hope I get something decent.
>>59585082Good luck, anon. Post anything good you get.
>>59584933People like you are just as annoying to be honest.
>>59583194if they made a version without the ugly ass stamp I'd pay double
>>59583194>>59585555Yeah. I'm liking a lot of the art but the stamps and the pissgold borders just ruin it for meAt least it leaves me more money to spend on older sets. Might just go and get the original crystal lugia instead

>>59585595>pissgoldDo you genuinely think of piss any time you see the colour yellow?
>>59586283Finally getting some of these cards as they’ve always meant to be: with yellow borders!Incredible how much better the Magikarp or tag team look
>>59586363No? Do you?
>>59586155>>59586212I must have remembered this wrong, the layout does look very different. they still don't have an ugly fucking stamp on it! I do understand people who say they like it though, it's just a bad taste thing really
I was having lunch and I heard an old guy unironically pronounce it "pokey-man cards"Had me a chuckle
>>59578177What a strange, immature response to something that's obviously facetious.
>>59586283Did Pokemon ever send Nintendo lawyers and ninjas to thieves and leakers?
>>59578684For such a nice glass case those $5 vendor stands sure look like shit.
Where's the god damn Ansha card already?
>>59586283not to be racist, but this dude looks like mickey rooney doing yellow face
>>59586416No, and as a result, I don’t think “piss” when I see yellow on, say, a pokemon card.
>>59586433>no ugly stamp
>>59586622Then why are you projecting always seeing piss when you see yellow on to others?
>>59586627I can be disingenuous too anon, but like I said it's a question of taste. I personally think it looks fucking hideous
the piss slinging will end now
>>59585931The mindless cattle would be liking the stamp. You're a masterclass of projection. A case study.
>>59585931>"The stamps are great">'"Imagine having this much shit taste">garish stamp lazily slapped on gorgeous artwork is le goodOr you just incredibly bad reading comprehension.
>>59574971So let me get this straight, if I send in a card to get PSA graded, and it turns out to be worth like $1K, they'll charge me a fat percentage of that to get my card back?Or am I completely misunderstanding this shit
>>59586792They'll replace or lose your card then stonewall you with legal mumbo jumbo until you hire a lawyer, then you get your full refund but not your card back
>>59586792grading a card always costs the same, idk if they give discounts if you submit more at a time though. when it gets a high grade there's a chance some faggot on ebay will overpay for the card
>>59586806Then why do I see talk of them upcharging you if your card is more valuable than you claim it is when sending it in?Like how am I supposed to know it's value if I haven't had it graded yet? That's the whole point of sending it in.
>>59586792You are paying PSA to hold your card hostage until you pay a ransom yes.
>>59586872so why is this information so ignored/obfuscated? I'd understand if it was just rich psychopaths and streamers doing it but tons of people in the hobby on average joe budgets are getting cards gradedhow the fuck do people have hundreds of dollars to spend on PSA gradings?
>>59586886"Average Joes" get fucked by pyramid schemes all the time anon
>>59586886Americans are richer than everyone else on average.Prior to PSA filling up to the brim grading is actually cheap especially if you send a ton of bulk cards.Your expensive PSA 10 only gets withheld if it passes through a certain grade/price threshold in that case you pay for the PSA good goy fee, that is if they don't outright steal/damage it and fuck you over.
>>59586800Surely they’re not going to do this for $1000
>>59586638You're the one who called it “pissgold” you retard.
>>59586854>Then why do I see talk of them upcharging you if your card is more valuable than you claim it is when sending it in?probably misinfo, you pay the grading fee before sending your cards and they do the work>Like how am I supposed to know it's value if I haven't had it graded yet? That's the whole point of sending it in.nigga have you heard of supply and demand yet? PSA doesn't dictate the price, they just needlessly inflate it. it's a third party that some people give a crap about, everyone else doesn't give a shit
>>59586792Its unbelievable that PSA has lasted this long as a company. How is this legal?
Looks like the JP box will have an improved hits to make it comparable to the EN.>4 AR>2 classic collection>1 SAR >1 Future RareAll in 20 packs, which is crazy. Loose packs might be valuable since there is no way they can metal scan it, but might be weighable since SAR and Futuristic Rare is, from what I've seen, comes with a double hit pack with either an AR or classic collection.
>>59587344PSA is the gold standard in grading, many sports uncs have millions poured into them ensuring they'll never die. What TPCi can do is dole out god packs in every merchandise and print every set to the ground as much as they possibly can. Only then scalpers, investorchuds and gradiots will get kicked out from the hobby.
>>59587546Which would completely kill the entire TCG. Stop seething just because you're poor.
I mentioned i bought some Love Live boxes a few days ago. Just finished opening them all.
>>59587477Making the JP comparable to EN would mean lowering the hit rate.
>>59587582No because from the last special set we only get 3 AR, 1 SR or above and 1 MAR or above. When I saw the EN early hit rates I am worried that they will keep it the same as they always do which would actually makes it worse than EN.
>>59587570>Which would completely kill the entire TCG.It won't, it will kill scalping, investing and grading which Pokemon TCG doesn't need.
>>59587660Yes it will because theres already been many examples of media, including TCGs, doing that and then interest completely tanked. The game and the collecting aspects of the Pokemon TCG are in symbiosis with each other, probably more than any other TCG ever.
>>59587645>3AR, 1SR, 1MARwhat EN product in a comparable price range (MSRP) has hit rates like that? for the Japanese MSRP of a booster box you are lucky to pull more than an EX in English.
>>59587749Were talking about 30th anon, and 30th hit rate for EN is very, very fucking good. Unprecedented even. 1/7 got IR, 1/20 for SIR and 1/17 for futuristic rare based on the early rips.
>>59587728No, the TCG doesn't need this kind of hype and visibility, you sound like one of those people who only collect if other people collect, i.e. mainstream hype cattle. Or you are only in for the money.Just because interest in the TCG tanked in the past, like in the mid 2010s, it doesn't mean there weren't any collectors.TPC did a lot of neat collaborations in that era, and you could chase a lot of exclusives without worrying too much about prices, and without chinks and mexicans botting your shit away.Imagine TPC releasing mario pikachu today, or the charizard XY promo in the illustration magazine, or the first rocket case with jessie/james and giovanni promos, or another van gogh pika. People would stab each other in shops. So now we can't have nice things anymore, the only collabs in the last years are very few, and they don't do full illustrations anymore (yet the mcdonald pika was still a shameful display of inhumanity). The TCG does not need mainstream visibility, does not need youtubers, does not need grading and investing. If you like pokemon cardboard you collect it even when boxes are moldy on the shelves and no one talks about the hobby. Else, you can join the cattle and pay $20k for a card that you could have had for $20 if you cared about your personal collection 10 years ago when no one was hyping the hobby and telling you what to buy to be part of the crew.
>>59587905that is still much worse than the hits you get from previous Japanese sets compared to the cost of the boxes
>>59587909All those words just to say you're poor.
>>59587940I accept your concession, although it's still shitposting.
>>59587909Absolutely nobody wants cards worth 20 cents.'Collect' Yugioh if that is what you're looking for.
>>59587964>he wasn't collecting when cards were 20 centsdamn you missed out
>>59587952We get it man, you're poor.
>>59587923Who the fuck bring up the cost? We've been talking about PER PACKS hit rate. Not whatever scalpers price you're paying per box.And this guarantee fucking hit rates is the best it ever been, full stop.
>>59588096because the per pack hitrate comparison is retarded when when one English pack is $5 MSRP and one Japanese Pack is 1,50
>>59588104All I did is bring up a my own personal sigh of relief that JP guarantee box hit rate has been increased to match the EN increased hit rate. EN always have shitty hit rates and I am glad they keep that way.Never cared about EN, never will and yer deserve it.
Guys I pulled a hyper ultra secret rare from 30th.
>>59587923Trvke, sshhhhLet the brown sperg
>>59575245Theme Decks were commonly stocked everywhere up through XY you fool. Early ones were good because you got a guaranteed foil, it only got stupid when you'd be stuck with a theme deck exclusive non-holo card during like EX times. For BW cards, the cover card would have an exclusive foil pattern in the deck, for example the Plasma Freeze decks gave a cracked ice pattern, so some of them are pretty cool.
>Dude Pokemon TCG is so cool it gives obscure shitmons a chance to have really nice cards!!>my favorite and his evo have like 4 cards in 20+ years and all the art looks the sameAlsoWill 30th singles plummet in price almost immediately like happened to Celebrations? I want the new cards in Japanese but the classics in English
looking at pkmnTCG r*ddit is so entertaining, people are so stupid."how do I collect", "how do I arrange", asking basic-ass questions for the simplest things, why don't you do what you want? God it's infuriating
>>59575245>or went low IQ Haymaker decksI remember my first encounter with Haymaker. Was at some jank tournament at a mall where there werent any brackets and you just challenged people to a match until you got 2 losses. After a few matches I was the youngest kid still in and a way older teenager came straight to me and challenged me. I was pretty confident that this guy was underestimating me just because I was younger but he steamrolled me with just Hitmonchan. Had no clue how good that card was and it made me question what was even the point of 2nd and 3rd stages. It was the first time I ever experienced a meta./blog
I've taken a liking to reverse holos, way better than I/ARs
Going to my first card show tomorrow, after mostly just buying locally, at generic conventions or online, are they usually absolutely mental? Hoping to find picrel for a nice price but probably won’t lel
>at a show, doing a bigger trade>see vendor has a base set pack>signed by jason paige> "how much">"50% of market since no one wants it">get it>erase his autograph with a dry erase marker>profit
>>59588955 Lel, but anon don’t you know he’s the voice of a generation!
>>59588922Some card vendors are assholes some are nice peopleSome are scalpers who bought a table, some are investorchuds who bought a table, some are PSA idiots who bought a table, some are real collectorsThe only thing that matters are their prices, if they're above 80% and aren't willing to haggle/negotiate you can skip their tableObvious red flags are tables with only graded cards, tables with only le chase cards, tables that don't have binders, bulk boxes at above $1, vintage bulks above $3 each, tables that 100%+ prices on their stickers, the seller is a Jewtuber, the seller is pretty hot for a cardshow (OFthot) and even showing her cleavage/booba, seller only sells Japanese/non-English cards
>>59588955kekker paige is a fag
>people claiming 30th rates are "good"I doubt it. in any case, if I get this pikachu and some of the others im happy.
>>59588955Doesn't he sign on the cards directly?
>>59589020I'm in the Discordtroon of those bots scalping online product, if you didn't preorder a case from distros you're shit out of luck.Pokemon Center has cancelled a bajillion scalper orders including a few legit ones.According to these scalpers the UPC is a miss outside of the promo cards, ETBs are only worth it if you're master setting but very low hits and the hits are in the smaller sets and booster bundles.
>>59589024I managed to get a 2 etb preorder in, in july and my card has a pending charge. the one time I ever managed to beat bots on that site, reading this thread saying "queue up" and trying to use the site at 12pm and it worked.I am assuming rates will be low. But, each pack has a pikachu so hopefully I get most of the good ones and maybe some cool stuff like the jirachi or the lapras illustration with the psyduck. but who knows.
>>59589033Ebay and Pokemon had the one chance to nuke a handful of scalpers and thieves who were selling 30th anniversary yet they only deleted their listings and didn't ban their Ebay accounts including the payment methods attached to it.All these scalpers who had stolen product off the distro/transit line will just hold off their cards and resell them again at the appropriate release date.Mastering the Pikachu set will be overpriced like those starter collection.
>>59589024>preorder from distrosHow the fuck do you even do this
>>59589040god is the 30th just fucked
>>59589042Have tons of shekels, distros don't care who is buying.I'm also in a Discordtroon bot where you can order thousands of product from Walmart, Target, etc.I've seen one faggot who claimed he ordered 7000 Ascended Heroes ETBs from Walmart alone.
>>59588971>>59589016Exactly.>>59589021Yeah, but he signed just the pack. Pack itself is still sealed and untampered with aside from his stupid signature. Vendor even showed me the PoV video he took of getting Paige to sign it back from a show in 2023.
>>59589046sounds like pokemon was right to let him go immediately, fame got to his head far harder than either of ash's voice actors you will never see veronica taylor or that cynthia looking russian actress mooching off the pokemon franchise despite being the literal voice of it
>>59589044>god is the 30th just fuckedIt's the most hyped set since Prismatic, 151 and the 25th anniversary. It looks like it'll be printed on the ground and you'll get a ton of product next year while the scalpers move on to Delta Reign and whatever comes next. These scalpers only care about the classic and 'future' hits, they don't even care about the other SIRs.
>>59589048I once got a signed card from Veronica Taylor, she was really pleasant and down to earth. No fucking clue what I did with it though, but it was really nice to have met her.
>>59588976Thanks for the advice, I’ll take it to heart anon. I’m only buying a graded slab if it’s cheaper than raw so I can destroy it for the card inside that my binder craves. Why avoid non-English card sellers in particular, though?
>>59589065> Why avoid non-English card sellers in particular, thoughI assume it's harder to move/sell
>>59589065I've met and dealt with the two biggest card show Jewtubers IRL, Coop and the Mexican guy with glasses; they're actually nice IRL and aren't Jews.Ignore the generic LAsian foids, they're using their homely/girl next door and non-OF threatening appearance to outkike you with pricing. They'll usually have OP and Gundam cards lying around as well.>>59589065>Why avoid non-English card sellers in particular, though? They're usually investorchuds, guys who go to Japan and buy card at "low" prices then sell it for higher because they paid for a plane ticket, etc.
>>59589042Cases cost slightly less than MSRP, only do this for ETBs, small packs and booster bundles/boxes.UPCs are cheaper to acquire this way but you're going to pay a ton for shipping since they're heavier than the rest.
>tfw your bro will never get a nice card
Has the market crashed yet?
>>59589309>Has the market crashed yet?Never, it'll go up even further with 30th anniversary and Fug with Delta Reign :)
