If it were to be part of an evolutionary line and not just a single stage then the evolution would probably be some sort of tiger or cougar but keeping his color scheme. I pray to God an actual tiger/cougar and not a humanoid/fursuit evolution lol. The evolution could definitely be over 500 total. If it were to have a pre-evolution then the pre-evolution could be just Normal and the tiny kitten version...and friendship evolution just to piss people off. It could know Accelerock to make make up for its lack of speed. Ability could be something like Guts or Huge Power to make up for its lack of attack. Sounds pretty broken kinda looking at it but I think Normal/Rock is a crappy enough typing with lots of weaknesses to make it work.

If my cat were a Pokemon he'd be Alolan Persian going off appearance alone.His name was fittingly Garfield and he had huge cheeks that gave him a big head except unlike Alolan Persian he had short thick legs and a short thick body. Unsure if he was a British Shorthair or a tabby tomcat who grew huge cheeks from never being neutered. He was a gray/brown tabby with black stripes and a white chin. I actually found him and when I found him he was clearly already an old cat. Though surprisingly he stayed alive with me for 12 years more. He rarely opened his eyes because he was just so lazy. He was mostly a nice cat though he could be grumpy sometimes but grumpy more in a cute way than in an aggressive way. I really liked this one habit of his where he'd pretend to be really angry and wanna bite off your finger but then when you gave him the opportunity to bite your finger he bited it very slow and gently. And oh God I thought I'd gotten over it but here I am crying again...a week or so before he died his cheeks actually got smaller. And he died in my lap in my arms while I was watching TV purring and seemingly happy. God he was better than most humans...I really hope he's in heaven now if heaven does exist, and I'm not even religious or spiritual.

I made a pretty convincing after effects edit of a Norwegian forest cat using protect, it's in a vid tho not a gif so i cant post it. My point being your cat has thick fluffy fur and it would the appropriate defensive stats.
