what I did to make the mega fights more tolerable is using Gorgeist, use trick or treat to make them ghost types, then send in Annihilape who uses focus energy bulk up screen and rage fist in that order. Trick Or Treat makes rage fist super effective and Rage fist gets stronger the more you use it.

i always had this idea of dream team in X with shiny female fennekin as my starter. Never did it because "it will take too long, maybe another day".

It's the updated odds so there's a chance. I forget how long the starter choice cutscene is. Also there's a lot of shiny hunting methods depending on what you're filling out the rest of the team, like hordes and pokenav. I doubt it. All the other QoL updates to change pokemon were to lower the barriers for competitive Pokemon battles. Something purely cosmetic like a Shiny Spray would upturn a lot of how the games have developed and reduce the perceived value of all shinies.

The closest thing I could see happening would be some sort of horrific ordeal, like a post-game thousand-floor battle tower that takes a minimum of fifty hours to complete, that would give you a one-time chance to let you make one of the pokemon on your team shiny at the cost of all the other pokemon in your team being turned into lv.1 Gastly, a 9/10 chance you instead get a lure ball, it requires a $19.99 ticket to activate, and the childhood friend NPC that you've had a crush on ends up marrying your douchebag rival.

I don't actually want any genned pokémon, I just need a few Ability Patches so the idea was to trade the genned mon for myself holding the ability patch, get the item then release the pokémon in-game.

I remapped the R button on 3DS to A+B+Start+Sel.
I regret nothing, resetting is so much less painful now.

fellas, I have a question.
I'm trying to shiny hunt a bunch of shit, mostly starters, in Wild Zone 20 in ZA. I need a bunch of totodiles, chikoritas, charmanders and squirtles. My problem is that I've found literally every shiny spawn, usually 2, and I've yet to get a single shiny squirtle, charmander, bulbasaur or lucario. But I've gotten literally every other spawn. I don't even need bulbasaur but the fact it's a gen 1 starter makes me curious if the shiny gen 1 starters aren't shiny locked until I complete a side mission or something like how Mareep is shiny locked until I complete the shiny mareep mission. I guess same for Lucario, too.

Are you bench resetting? Charmander/lucario is a bitch because they spawn on the far side only. If I remember right, the way I did it was teleport to the gate then run sideways until that whole desert area has spawned in, teleport again. Also there's some weirdness with the spawns, like only certain ones even have a chance to spawn charmander while hippo can spawn in all of them.
