It completely throws away what Dratini and Dragonair had going for a generic dragon design and it doesn't help that it's not even the only orange dragon (Charizard) in its debut generation. People rag on Dragonite less compared to Charizard because Charizard gets way more attention but both of them are jsut generic orange dragons. The only unique thing about them is Charizard's fire tail and Dragonite's noodle things it has on its head. I don't even hate Dragonite or Charizard but they're as basic and overrated as fuck.
