Unpopular opinion: I hate Silver's portrayal in the manga. One of the reasons why he's my favorite game rival is necause how he was an unapologetic borderline sociopath for most of the game. It gives your last encounter with him at Victory Road an almost poetic feel. Game Silver would probably call Manga Silver a fag.

Ive been reading some of volume 1 of RBG and Red used to be a lot more interesting as a character in the earlier chapters. He could get careless or carried away, be a little girl crazy and somewhat cocky.Yeah yeah I know character development and all but I honestly prefer the old Red over his generic chaste nice guy characterization

A misconception I've seen floating around is that Green was meant to be the female protagonist for the original games. That's not even true. The female protag was supposed to be a generic baseball hat wearing trainer (Here's an early concept art of her.) Green was just an empty space filler for an old Sugimori artwork that was also used for an origami guide before Adventures made her a character
