The problem with this is that it then means your opponent knows exactly what ability you have. Sometimes, with some pokemon, not knowing is an advantage. Bronzong for instance. Also, pokemon can now change between their ability slots with items, so do they retain their original forms or do they change forms based on their current abilities?

In concept, it's a cool idea, in practice it poses too many questions and needs too many mechanics be worked on to be full considered.
